Probably 6, followed closely by 5.

Season 4

Lots of good episodes, but even if everything was shit, the presence of "Marge vs. Monorail" is enough to push it to #1.

Right now, since i'm going through Season 6 its currently my favorite. So many great episodes, including my favorite with the Stonecutters.

The wookie thing is from six? ooooh ok yeah, now i remember. I had my Wiggum quotes mixed up.

What else would you base it on? The color palette? Voice modulation? Number of guest stars? Number of d'ohs in a season?
