Celebrity Poker Showdown - 08/25/05

In alphabetical order

Stephen Collins
Bryan Cranston
Peter Dinklage
Howie Mandel
Meatloaf

I almost turned it off several times because Mandel is the unfunniest and most annoying man I've seen in a long time. He was like that when he was on St Elsewhere and blowing up rubber gloves on his stupid face. How does he still have a career?

Anyway, spoilers.
Spoiler:

Mandel and Meatloaf were eliminated together by Collins, a first for the show. Dinklage was soon to follow. Cranston was playing pretty sharp, he bluffed Collins out of the best hand several times. It didn't last, and Collins rivered an Ace to win.

The 'Celebrity' part is getting less and less with each episode. When they started, Ben Affleck and David Schwimmer played. Now its down to Meatloaf and the dwarf from Elf.

I've heard that Bryan Cranston was very good, and he showed it here. I think taking away that one hand he lost most of his money on, he probably would've won that. Steven Collins seemed to have a decent amount of poker skill, but he was very easy to read.

Bryan Cranston was clearly the best player at the table.
Spoiler:
Collins just got an early advantage taking almost all of Howie's money on the first hand.

It was funny how pissed off Meat was getting.
Spoiler:
Going out on the same hand as no-nothing Howie, he probably wanted to kill someone.

Or how pissed off Phil Gordon was at Meat in one hand. Meat and, I think, Dinklage were going back and forth on a hand and each had several thousand dollars in the pot. On the river, Dinklage bets two hundred and Meat folds. Gordon actually stood up in outrage. I thought he was going to rush in the other room and start pummeling the Loaf.

Actually, Meat lead out, Pete went all in, which was only $200 more and then Meat folded.
