Curb Your Enthusiasm - Season 5

I haven't seen anything on this yet so I hope this is not old news...

HBO.com has Sunday, Sept. 25th as the start date for Season 5 of Curb Your Enthusiasm

Well, with the loss of my HBO in June, looks like I'll have to torrent these.

Given that downloading copyrighted material is illegal, let's not go there.

How come such few people watch this?

It's basically just like Seinfeld Continued.

In many ways it's even better. But remember, relative to over the air and basic cable market penetration not many people actually have HBO.

I'm really up for the new season. Having said that I was HORRIBLY disappointed with S4. I really only loved one episode (Diamond Lane). I hope last season was an extended abomination and not a sign of a show in decline (..cough, sixfeetunder, cough..).

I don't dislike Seinfeld, but I'm not a fan either......it's definitely not a show I would bother to buy on dvd.

Curb Your Enthusiasm, on the other hand, is one of my favorite comedies ever. I don't subscribe to HBO shows, but I buy them all on dvd......so I never see them until then.

The TVGuide short article had some interesting things to say about the upcoming season. Can't wait!

Saw that as well. Sounds promising.

I would say Curb is a more RAW version of Seinfeld.

Hmmm... isn't that a bit like getting the joke after everyone in the comedy club has gone home and gone to bed? I think part of television comedy is sharing the laugh with people you know the next day or week after it has aired. Just me...

omg! you're absolutely right! I'll go subscribe to HBO right this minute!

Personally, I don't need validation from other people as to what I think is funny....and if I do want to share a funny show (or ANY show for that matter) with someone else, it's easy to watch whatever it is, whenever we can with dvds. I know a lot of people who don't subscribe to premium channels but buy the dvds of shows from those channels that they want to see when they come out on dvd.
