The picture from tonight's episode on scifi.com woulld probably be considered a spoiler for tonight's episode so I would avoid going there if you don't want to know.

War drums?

I watched the tues marathon and the war drums only showed up for the fifth episode. Wonder how they will work that for the next dvd set.

just fyi, the war drums are on this episode too.

The end of the episodes seem like they're just setups for EJO to send things in for the emmys.

Next week looks good

Nah, a Boomer shooting another Adama (Apollo) doesn't sound right.
I'm pretty sure she will shoot the President, but she won't be dead, just weak for a few episodes then die off.

Or she could have just been shooting some cylons. Who knows?

Great episode! and just an FYI since it seems some folks don't know the actor that originally played Apollo in the late 70's is the same guy playing Zarek. So if someone were to type old Apollo they are referencing Zarek, not Lee Adama.

Just got though watching this and when the scripture lady leaned down at the grave, I threw up my arms and said "kaboom!" in jest (not thinking that would happen). Then she actually did get blown up! Whoa!

I really got a kick out of Zarek plotting to kill Apollo. It's like he felt there's only room for one Apollo.

that's funny...I just got done listening to the podcast for this episode and they commented that the actor playing Zarek initially spoke out and opposed a remake of the series.

It seems sort of obvious to me that Zarek's "advisor" is a Cylon.

Also agree that Boomer will make good yet again.

am I the only one that felt at the end of Zarek's murder plot conversation that while his buddy was thinking Apollo Zarek was thinking his buddy would be the one dead?

That's my guess too.

You just heard that? That was widely publicized because he wanted to do a continuation of the original. He later came around when he saw that this version was in fact good and...had a part for him. Dirk Benedict who played the old Starbuck has not come around.

Yeah, I never saw any of the old episodes until the middle of the first season of the current BSG. I've only since caught a few eps here and there on reruns. The acting was cheesy (as is with most shows back then) but the stories were quite interesting.

I hope Dirk figures out that the new BSG is good, while not crapping on the original. I'd love for him and all the other originals to get small parts in the new

What happen to the stupid kid? Did Starbuck kill him after he complained about not having a robot dog?

I heard they have Lorne Greene lined up to appear in the 3rd season.

Yeah, maybe bring Dirk Benedict back as Kateebuck's long missing father who used to beat her when she was little. Now that would provide some interesting drama!

(BTW, I don't think Dirk Benedict's outspoke criticism of the new show is an issue anymore, given that he appeared briefly with Katee Sackhoff in one of the short documentaries promoting the new BG show. He even made a pass at her, suggesting they have a little Starbuck on Starbuck action on the side, which is him behaving pretty much in line with the Old Starbuck rogue pilot character.)
