The Comeback: what should happen to it?

I think they should pull this off the air ASAP. If this show gets another season, then HBO truly has its head up its arse.

Smidget 08-07-05 09:38 PM

Horrid, couldn't even make it past the first 10 min of the first episode.

Dr_Evil 08-07-05 10:04 PM

It should get to run the rest of the season. If the eps are already in the can, then there isn't much damage letting them air. HBO seems to be better in this respect than other networks. I'm sure the show has some fans, they deserve to see the rest of the season.

Yeah, so did the fans of Wonderfalls! Let 'em buy the DVD set! :grumble:

Has HBO ever canceled a show? Or do they just not renew them?

Network television is an entirely different game than a pay channel.

HBO isn't going to lose any money by airing the remaining episodes of The Comeback.

FOX would lose advertisers and their money if it aired the remaining episodes of Wonderfalls.

And there have been a lot of shows out there that have been cancelled that were light years better than Wonderfalls (and this is coming from a fan of Mr. Minear). Don't get your panties in a bunch because one show you enjoyed got cancelled early on and you had to pay $25 for a DVD set of the show. Be grateful that Fox even released the show to DVD.

Take the worst charactrer/actress from a nauseating show and put her on HBO. Gee, how could this have turned into such crap? The mind wobbles.

BassDude 08-08-05 11:04 AM

Still a fan. Looking forward to more.

Last two eps have been good as Valerie begins to realize the truth about her career and starts to stand up for herself.

Geofferson 08-08-05 11:15 AM

Let it complete the season, then not renew it.

And then throw a beaker of sulfuric acid in Lisa Kudrow's face.

By all that is holy... MAKE IT STOP!

That, or put her in a two-hour caged death-match with Arli$$.

Dr. DVD 08-09-05 09:06 PM

Arli$$, a show that got renewed time and again despite protest.

I always though that if anyone needed proof of Satan's existence, Arli$$ was it. That show was the shame of a generation. A small amount of respect can be recovered by annihilating shows like The Comeback early on.

Good Lord! Sorry, Mr. FOX!

gjamesm 08-10-05 04:09 PM

I'd take this show any day over "Joey."

Seantn 08-10-05 05:33 PM

This show is doomed. Ala Mr. & Mrs. Smith.
