Anyone know why they changed "The Dead Zone" this season? It doesn't even fit with the credits anymore (as in, they didn't even re-edit the footage.) It's bizarre.

I've got to say the Buffy and Angel theme songs are by far my favorite - mostly because Buffy just hits it right out of the gate and Angel's starts slow but you know it's going somewhere. Also, the fast edit of clips just pulls you right in, and they're short so it's hardly worth it to fast-forward.

Other themes I enjoy are Veronica Mars, The Shield (DAP DAP DAP DA-DA!!!) and Alias.

All time favorite: Highlander: The Series. It just kicks nine kinds of ass.

I love the theme to The Odd Couple. So jazzy smooth.

Also Highlander's theme is just pitch perfect. Freddy Mercury owns!

Damn. I always forget about Princes of the Universe by Queen on Highlander.

If you start mentioning themes that use actual songs then With a Little Help From My Friends, Joe Cocker's version of the Beatles classic must be mentioned for the Wonder Years as well as Life Goes on with Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da, also the Beatles, as it's theme.

From actual songs used for TV intros:
Tour of Duty
Wonder Years
CSI

and the best right now: Rescue Me

For just TV themes:
Alias (Original)
Angel
Firefly
NYPD Blue
Friends was always catchy
Dukes of Hazzard
Miami Vice

and the best of those: Hawaii 5-0

Had to bump this. I've been watching Volume 2 of DuckTales on DVD and it has one of the most catching and memorable themes ever.

Friends (my all time fav)
The X-Files
Full House
Baywatch
Laguna Beach

And I'll have to agree with Michael Corvin and add Ducktales, and maybe Rescue Rangers too...

Thing I thought was kinda cool about Babylon 5, was that they modified the intro/theme song for every season. Out of the lot, I'd say that Season's 3 and 5 were probably my favorites.

Hardcastle & McCormick
Transformers
GIJoe
Voltron
Battlestar Galactica (old one)
Buck Rogers
JAG
NCIS

Probably a ton of others. However if I was watching them on DVD, I'd watch the intro on the first ep I watch and skip the rest. Endings are pretty much always skipped.

I usually skip most of them on watching the DVD, especially if they're long.
But some I enjoy, not necessarily on DVD:
The Patty Duke Show
The Bob Newhart Show
Buffy
Steel Angel Kurumi - this silly thing was so cute and catchy I couldn't skip it
Simpsons
Futurama
Night Court
Blackadder's ending songs are great too.

I'd like to take this moment to mourn the passing of ER's opening credits and theme music, gone after 12 years. I've a horrible feeling opening credits are going to be a thing of the past now as the time will be given over to commercials.

i agree commercials are taking over theme songs. i miss the old er song. they say they remove the theme to make more room for storylines but thats a lie.

it was a great song!

3. NCIS-fits the show very well!

4. dead like me-again fits the show very well.

5. roseanne s.9 ver.- i liked the song in the 9th season i liked the ver.s before but i would skip them on dvd, when this season comes to dvd i wont skip it.

Anyone recall the Chicago Hope episode that featured the image consultant's new commercial for the hospital? The new spot was a shot-for-shot copy of the ER open with the CH cast. It was very funny. I think someone comments that they had seen it somewhere before.

Walker Texas Ranger!

When you're in Texas look behind you! Cause that's where a ranger's gonna be !

Ducktales, Rescue Rangers, Pinky and the Brain, and Tiny Tunes Adventures which I proudly sing a capella.
