Tommy Lee Goes To College (preview)
Just saw the preview clip for this and it looks more promising than I thought it would.
I'm probably biased since it is my alma mater.

Your mom goes to college.
I want to check this out mainly because it's at Nebraska. When they played our football team (K-State) I remember everybody wondering if Tommy was going to come with the Husker band, but as I recall he did not. Could be pretty interesting though.

Yeah, the people aren't phony, but the situations are definitely scripted. They do things like give him the hottest tutor they could find and his advisor's name is Dr. Gay. They're gunning way too hard for the Beavis and Butthead audience. It still had some funny moments. Mostly watching Tommy try to sit through his classes.
If he just decides to fail all his classes, this show will fall apart. His audition for marching band was just embarrassing.

I read that the producers' original plan was to have Steve Perry (former lead singer from Journey) going to college, but he turned them down. I'm still trying to figure out why they thought that would have been a good idea.

Tommy28, off topic and sorry. I tried PM'ing you and emailing you but couldn't. I have some questions about pergo. Could you email me so I could then email you? If so, please send an email to tscott(AT)fpfc(DOT)net.
Thanks a lot.

it really is embarassing for him to be so bad at the drumline. he's suppose to be a musician. even though it's different type of playing, you would at least expect him to be able to catch on really quickly. but him doing drums is just like him doing volleyball or swimming. it makes him come off as a no talent hack in regards to his rockstar career.
seems odd to me that they're directing the show this way.

2) i meant more that he would catch on quickly, not that he wouldn't be able to catch on at all. kinda like how a violinist would be able to play fiddle style somewhat quickly even if they haven't done so in a long time or ever.

But I'm sure the other drummers made a lot of mistakes their first week too.
Plus knowing how they edit reality TV to show their point he might have made a lot less mistakes than non-mistakes.
Never thought I'd sorta defend Tommy Lee for any reason.

And they showed some of his mistakes were with the choreography as well, not something a musician typically has to do.
