I think this season will finish strong. Amongst their best.

I read in the last thread that Glenn Close is not returning. Anybody know why? This is the best role shes had in years.

That's too bad, if true. It's her best work in years (if not ever).

She wants to spend more time with her family. The show shoots on the west coast and her family lives on the east coast

Spoiler:
I wonder if Shane will pass the lie detector and Army doesn't making the Strike Team have an uncomfortable decision to make.

So far another fine episode. And you know why they've been good lately? Because we're finally back to the formula that works - the strike team working together out on the street. When they were bickering with each other was when the show was in a slump creatively.

I thought Army was going to catch some friendly fire, still might now that he declined to take the test, seemed like Shane passed.

I didn't think friendly fire, I just figured he'd get into some shootout and would get taken out, maybe by saving Shane's ass. Now, though... it would be nice to see a return to the first ep of season one and have Vic take care of business.

I was thinking how cool it might be if they elevated Vic to captain. Frankly, it would be the best way to keep him in line, since he'd be under the gun every second.

This season has went by pretty fast! Was this only 13 episodes? i thought last season was 15.

Next week looks insane! There was all kinds of stuff going on. I loved how they advertised it too. I believe the announcer said "THIS IS THE EPISODE TO SEE BEFORE THE SEASON FINALE!!!!". Well no kidding.

Looks like Army doesn't have the stomach to be a regular member of the Strike Team.

Dutch was very stupid, admitting to Corinne that the reason he initially asked her out was to get under Vic's skin. He should've told her that he was hungry like the wolf.

Corinne: "I've been seeing Dutch."
Vic: "It's clobbering time."

Funny how Vic knew his wife (and Dutch) well enough to screw things up with just a five minute conversation.

I wouldn't put to much stock in the previews since they are misleading and full of hype for example 24 was said to have some "earth shattering" episodes but nothing came of them and I ended up feeling disappointed at the end of the episode.

I thought Shane was a goner for sure, I thought the guys might do a slow-code - not give him back up fast enough to help him.

Okay per last weeks thread,
Spoiler:
it looks like they are setting up Claudette to be the next captain. It looks like they will loose 1 of 2 female captains - so best to replace her with a BLACK female captain.

I didn't particularly care for how easily Dutch rolled over.

"Vic says you're just seeing me to get back at him!"

"Uh... I didn't tell him about us, crazy woman. You did. If I was doing it to get at him, I would have at least wanted to see his face when he found out."

I was also curious why they went back to 13 this season because you're right - last season was 15 episodes.

I kinda thought Vic was going to pee on Dutch when they were in the bathroom together.

Last year's season started late if I recall correctly, so they compensated with 2 extra episodes.

Only 13...but one was 90 minutes so I guess more like 13 & 1/2. Maybe we can get a commercial free finale while we're at it. They're usually pretty good at not even having commercials for like the first 25-30 minutes so why not go a full hour!??!

Damnit if they say it's the episode to see before the season finale then it's the episode to see before the season finale!
