Just sports at the moment. Nothing on the summer docket show wise has caught my eye yet.

I need the break to get caught up on DVDs and video games anyway.

When's the prison show start on Fox? That looks kind of interesting.

Rome on HBO - when?

Other than those, I'll probably give Empire a try, and Entourage as of now is the only show I'll make it a point to watch each week. I'll watch some of the others (Big Brother, American Dad) when I'm not busy.

I don't have cable so I'm more limited to what I can watch over the summer. The following looks interesting:

Hit Me Baby, One More Time
Average Joe
Beauty and the Geek
Empire

Patman 05-30-05 06:15 PM

There are more Summerland episodes to be burned off this summer?

The Cow 05-30-05 07:13 PM

Just sports for awhile, yay!

Perhaps out of boredom, perhaps out of masochism, I think I'm going to try to watch every new summer network reality offering at least once. Or at least the 'reality competition' shows. Maybe I'll keep a running tab in this thread or something. There's quite a few:

Hell's Kitchen (5/30)
Beauty & the Geek (6/1)
Dancing with the Stars (6/1) (yeccch)
Hit Me Baby One More Time (6/2)
The Scholar (6/6)
Fire Me. . .Please (6/7)
The Cut (6/9)
I Want to be a Hilton (6/21) (double yech)
Average Joe: The Joes Strike Back (6/21)
Big Brother 6 (7/7)
Welcome to the Neighborhood (7/10)
Rock Star: INXS (7/11)
So You Think You Can Dance (7/20)
The Law Firm (7/28)
Tommy Lee Goes to College (8/16)

Anyway wanna take this challenge with me? :)

ChrisHicks 05-31-05 10:41 AM

so I take it no one is going to watch The Real Gilligans Island on TBS?

Jonny2k1 05-31-05 10:55 AM

Monk
The 4400
The Dead Zone
Rescue Me
The Shield
Entourage

As well as catching up on shows I haven't got around to watching. I just started watching the recordings of Veronica Mars, and I liked that show so much that I watched nine episodes yesterday.

Morf 05-31-05 11:10 AM

Monk
Family Guy
American Dad
Poker Superstars Invitational
World Poker Tour

DVD backlogs I plan on hitting:
Batman: The Animated Series (volume II, maybe III)
M*A*S*H season 7
Seinfeld season 4

HN 05-31-05 11:44 AM

Gonna attempt to get in the entire run of:
Babylon 5
Curb Your Enthusiasm

(Yeah, i'm a little behind)

wildcatlh 05-31-05 12:17 PM

The 4400
Family Guy
American Dad
Entourage
Six Feet Under
Battlestar Galactica

Sparrow 05-31-05 10:12 PM

Monk
Family Guy

I'll give Entourage a try and these new series look promising:
Prison Break
The Scholar
Hell's Kitchen (even though it was pretty harsh this week)

Angelus897 05-31-05 10:29 PM

Family Guy
American Dad
The 4400 (hopefully it will be better than last season)
Stargate SG-1
Stargate Atlantis

and most of all:
Battlestar Galactica

kenage 06-01-05 06:06 PM

Veronica Mars

wendersfan 06-02-05 08:06 AM

Since my wife is a fan of the shows, Monk, Entourage, and 6FU for sure, and maybe a couple of others.

Jimmy James 06-02-05 10:45 AM

The Shield
Nip/Tuck

I'm not sure either count as "summer" this year, though.

Other than that, I'll be giving The Inside as much of a chance as I gave The Jury last year because I'm as enthusiastic about Minear as I was those former Homicide guys. I will probably give Over There a shot, too.

On DVD, I'm running through Newsradio seasons 1 and 2, Chappelle's Show season 2, and will probably buy Moonlighting seasons 1 and 2. I'm in the middle of Felicity season 4 and the British version of The Office via rental. I hope to hit Oz seasons I haven't seen, Homicide seasons I haven't seen, and whatever the wife wants to grab (which will probably be along the lines of Dawson's Creek or something).

Bill Needle 06-02-05 12:25 PM

Family Guy
Hell's Kitchen
Hit Me Baby, One More Time
And Lord help me, The Real Gilligan's Island

Anything that's not baseball has some chance. Well, except for Big Brother.
