Tara Reid to be the new host of E! Wild On
 

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) There's simple typecasting and then there's E! asking Tara Reid to become the new host of its "Wild On" franchise. Apparently the notoriously party-happy young thespian is comfortable with her image, because starting this August, Reid will visit the world's hottest locations for the cable network.

"You might think you know her from the myriad magazines highlighting her Hollywood highlife, but you are about to experience the real Tara," boasts a statement from E! "We're no longer the fly on the wall, this time we are on the dance the floor, at the bar, and even in the penthouses, as we follow the only girl who truly knows how to paint the town (or in this case, the world!) red."

Reid would probably rather be best know for her feature film appearances in "American Pie" and "Josie and the Pussycats" or television appearances on "Scrubs," rather than for her image as an occasionally out-of-country Hollywood party-girl.

The 29-year-old actress co-starred in FOX's drama pilot "Hitched" this spring along with Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Leslie Bibb, but the network chose not to send the wedding chapel project to series.

Having Tara on this show is not an incentive to get me to watch. I did like Cindy & Brooke, though.

Jules had a nice girl hostess which was good, but Brooke had a I wanna be on that island with you baby hostess.

I guess I'll never watch that show again.

Don't know why, but I never found Cindy Taylor all that interesting enough to watch the show after Brook Burke left.

Jules was the best. Brooke never really did it for me (hosting duties or looks) and I've never watched when Cindy was hosting. But all these women are hella lucky to land that job. As is that dorky guy that used to follow them around Art Mann I think his name was.

Saw Cindy Taylor doing a Wild On segment a couple years ago in Dewey Beach, DE. She has a hot little body, but she wears a ton of makeup, even for a TV show.

I pretty much stopped watching Wild On after Brooke left.

I stopped watching after Jules left.
