Actually her mom does.. I want to be a Hilton starts on June 21.. The mother Hilton takes 14 hicks and tries to make them all cultured...just saw the promo on NBC

She should try taking her own daughter and making her cultured.

Ugh...It's actually pretty insulting that the media takes the Hiltons and makes it seem like everyone wants to be like them. What did Ms. Hilton do to get her money? She married a rich guy. I don't think there's too much to teach. Her daughter is famous because....she's a rich snob. Seeing a pattern here?

I agree with one exception.. I don;t think the media just chooses a subject or person and shoves it down our throats.. they are pushing something that as an audience for it.. if nobody watched "the simple life" or REALLY cared about Paris Hilton, she would go away...There is a reason she is one of the most searched names on the Internet and I don't think it is the media that is doing the searching

I agree. This show is very ironic...cause I always felt that the draw of the Hilton sisters (and Paris in particular) was to see that money doesn't buy class, thus choosing Paris' mom to "teach" people culture is like choosing Dr. Kevorkian and having him teach a class on how to live longer.

Exactly. If people didn't want to watch it, the media wouldn't talk about it.

Which is why I'm doing my part by not watching any "reality" or E! Entertainment stuff. Hopefully others will follow suit and get us out of this ridiculous trend.

This show is surely a sign of the impending apocalypse.

And I really doubt people search the internet for Paris just because they want to know more about her... I'd say it's about wanting to see more OF her ;)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I was under the impression that The Simple Life had been getting terrible ratings recently. I don't know, between that and House Of Wax bombing, you just have to feel like her 15 minutes are just about ending.

This is just a stupid show. From the promo, the contestants have to learn what it takes to be a Hilton. Well then, seeing how much it takes to be Paris, NOT MUCH. Just be blonde and stupid!! Case closed.
