I hope there is a torrent or something of the batman begins footage from tonight, that is how I get Smallville and I assume the encoders won't include it in the smallville cap. Damn DirecTV doesn't think the WB should be available to some of us in the sticks.

why is the front of the truck burning. these are rocks not globs of napalm, a near miss would not leave any thing behind that would burn like that

Well, it looks like the producers saved up about 5 episodes' worth of special effects for the season finale, and so far, it's been tense and suspenseful, with Lex this close to losing it.
I hate this show because when it's good, it's really good, but it's just so inconsistent from week to week. I guess there are only so many epic stories you can tell in any given season.

Funny I thought it was going to General Zod smallville style, some 20 something guy with long flowing hair and an evil sneer.

da fuck was that?
the finale in imo wasn't good, the only part i liked was the 2 minutes when chloe showed up and found clark
the 'timeclock' looked like a bootleg 24, and the show had no structure it just went from one thing to the next
jason comes back, lana spots a new ship???, clark is apparently at the north pole building his fortress
and i guess ma and pa kent are dead by now or at least pa kent
and i guess chloe and lex have amnesia???
dammit smallville!

Well, they lied about it being a 90 minute Smallville season finale. The Batman Begins preview cut off 15 minutes of the Smallville episode, so it was more like 75 minutes.
That's a lame criticism if I've ever heard one. It's a frickin' TV show with a very small budget. What do you expect, epic caliber 100 million dollar effects?
unh uh..
is this Smallville or a video game? that cgi with the helicopter was lame

"Now that is the smallville I remember ... "
Yes, I thought it was a very good finale.
I also watched the BM Begins preview.
I am much more excited about next season than the Batman movie.
The producers have indicated the show will take a different turn next year. Rather curious to see what they come up with. Freak of the Week has been done to death.
As for the CGI ... It wasn't the best it could have been, but it did get the point across and there seemed to be quite a bit of it. For a show that draws mediocre numbers, I thought it was good enough
I give the finale a B grade.

Personally, I can't believe anyone would criticize that scene, because I thought that was one of the most amazing things I've EVER seen on television. It was awesome on my 10ft screen.
