Help with old japanese cartoons..
 

I loved these cartoons, but can't remember much.. would love to find them on DVD.. any of this sound familiar to anyone???

One - There was a tiny unicorn and when ever it was needed to help save someone (or do something heroic) it grew to normal size.. I believe bad ppl were after her horn..

Two- There was a girl that had to go to the end of the earth (or around the world) to claim something (or save someone) and there was a witch that transformed into a giant head of sorts with doc oc kind of arms out of her head..

we are talking almost 15-20 years ago..

One sounds like Unico... which wasn't a TV series, but did have two movies. Don't remember the plot of the first one, but there was a cute cat in it who caught cockroaches, and I will never get that song out of my head ("I'm a cat, and that is why I... sing this song, this song of meow meow meow"). The second movie was about a toy that turned into an evil wizard.

Dunno about the second one. Did you see it on TV, or video?

the witch sounds the same as the one in Miyazaki's film, Spirited Away, but that's much more recent. More likely, it's from a common Japanese myth...

Unico is it!!!!!!!! Ahh, the memories!! I am still stumped on the 2nd one, I can only remember snipits..
