Fantasia Barrino? Oh man. Guess I don't have to watch the Simpsons tonight.

Emma311 05-08-05 02:23 PM

Last week I didn't watch, because the guest star was Raymond. I hate that guy.

JacksModernLife 05-08-05 02:30 PM

you are not true simpsons fans.

j123vt_99 05-08-05 06:30 PM

is this the new thing? 2 new eps a week?

That ep wasn't very good.

The fat bart episode that was after it though, good stuff.

invisiblegt 05-08-05 07:13 PM

Oh, joy. Fantasia "singing."

IMRICKJAMES 05-08-05 07:56 PM

how long is this 2 new episode thing going to last. If this is going to last awhile why not hour long Simpsons instead of 2 half hours?

edytwinky 05-08-05 09:40 PM

The Lisa episode was horrible. This is the first Simpsons episode I've caught in quite some time and was very disappointed.

Next week is their season finale and it is a 2 episode week again.

Crazy Homer = Funny Homer

POWERBOMB 05-08-05 09:43 PM

The american idol episode was absolutly terrible. I didn't laugh once. And I really wanted too.

The second episode was much better, although I'm left to wonder if it was better because it followed such a terrible episode.

Just like last week, the first episode was the weaker of the two. I liked the opening with the homage to "Get Smart" but then it went downhill from there.

I liked the Rapture episode a lot.

The parody of the Last Supper painting was good.

I think Ray Romano is great but you didnt miss anything. It was a terrible episode.

Nostradumbass:lol:

2nd ep was pretty good

Supermallet 05-09-05 01:40 AM

Two very meh episodes. The best from either was when Lisa sang "Nobody here sucks...except for...Flanders?"

Deftones 05-09-05 01:57 AM

I think this season is going to end stronger than the past few seasons. Both episodes were above average.

Chew 05-09-05 06:12 AM

I take it Fantasia is from American Idol?

Plenty of funny bits in both episodes for me, but they were just ok.

twikoff 05-09-05 06:38 AM

Ill always be here for you, especially when its easy

JacksModernLife 05-09-05 09:02 AM

Haha, and the gender question about Milhouse. Haha.

LorenzoL 05-09-05 11:10 AM

from zap2it.com:

"Cold Case," 9.5/16, kept CBS in front among households at 8 p.m., although ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition," 8.5/15, brought in more total viewers (14.77 million to CBS' 14.6 million). FOX moved up to third with an hour of "The Simpsons," 5.5/9, while "The Contender" was fourth for NBC. A new "Charmed" averaged 2.0/3 for The WB.

I think it's just a gimmick to show the rest of the season during May sweeps.

Plus it has something to do with the fact that they cut the number of episodes of Arrested Development so they are filling that timeslot with more Simpsons.

The Antipodean 05-09-05 03:36 PM

Boy, Fox programmers really have their head up their asses. Why burn off all the Simpsons episodes at once like that? I hate "sweeps" and all the stupid stunts that come with them.

Zien 05-09-05 05:06 PM

I gotta say, the second episode was one of the best Simpson's eps I've seen in a long time.

"Do you realize what you're asking me to do? I'd have to turn back time."
"Superman did it!"

That, and the alcoholism line were great.

Not an apologist, just really enjoyed this episode.

Numanoid 05-09-05 05:24 PM

The Rapture episode is an instant classic.
