Give me a break.

Nothing has been stated that hasn't already been aired in the 9 million promos for Lost on ABC.

If you think those should be spoilered, then you should just stay out of Lost threads.

Give me a break. I avoided those promos for a reason.

I don't expect to come into a thread like this and see spoilers before the ep. airs.

Since when is someones speculation considered a spoiler? The promos and trailers for Lost rarely give away too much, usually they are red heirings anyways. Now 24, those previews basically give away the whole episode.

When something is posted in spoiler tags, and the reply is something like:
We all know John Locke will not be the one to die.
or
Locke doesn't have to die from a gunshot wound.
or even
Is it just me, or did there appear to be a flash of light around Locke's midsection as he falls back?
I consider that a spoiler.

I would only consider the last one a spoiler. The others are just speculating.

maybe we should have 2 threads for every single show on tv. we could have one thread that is episode specific and another to talk about anything we want to about the show(speculation,
Spoiler:
spoilers
or whatever). then those who are trying to avoid the shows until whenever can stay out of the speculation thread if they want.

Sorry, whaat, but I have to disagree. My observation was based solely on what was shown in the promo (over and over and over). If someone had seen the full episode and was revealing info then, yes, it is a spoiler, but this really isnt.

Hey, why is what I said a spolier when it was clearly something that was shown in the promos.

Ahhh, forget it, I'll just come back to this thread after the episode airs so I can speak freely.

Sounds like you just need to stay out of threads until after the episode airs if you THAT sensitive about spoilers.

Anyone that intentionally avoids the promos shown repeatedly on TV should stay out of threads until they've seen the episode. Hell, they should probably stay out of them period as discussing the preview for next weeks show is very common.

Anything aired on TV is fair game to post without spoiler tags IMO, the minority that avoids promos is shit out of luck.

There is a TV Talk rule about discussing promos prior to an episode. I don't agree with it and I don't think it is strictly enforced, but it does exist.

I can't believe you ruined this for me! I was going to wait for the DVD set to come out to watch it! Who'd have thought I'd get spoiled for Family Matters in a Lost thread!!??

I think we should black out this entire thread, just in case.

If that's the case, the administration is as foolish as the people whining about it.

You don't pander to the minority.

I dont see any type of spoilers in this thread, just a lot of speculation for tonights episode from the promos that have been airing on T.V. Yea if someone actually said this person died then i would be pretty pissed off. But anyway, I just wanna see whats going on with Locke's Legs. And glad to see there is finally a new episode airing!!!!!!

People are complaining that discussing the promos are spoilers as some people intentionally skip watching the promos.

But why the hell do these people even click on the thread before they've seen the show? The only thing that can be discussed is the promo. Do they just want to see a bunch of black bars.

They should just stay out until they see the show and both sides are happy.

Well, it looks like according to the big guide to spoilers anything in a dated thread is fair game. If so, I was wrong, and I apologize for making a big deal about the promo discussion.

To be honest, I just recently caught up with about 5 old episodes (and threads) of Lost that I had recorded but hadn't had time to watch. I'm used to people in these threads spoilering the next week's promos, and I assumed the same etiquette applied up until the current episode had aired.

Anyways, sorry for bringing a bunch of bad mojo on this thread, and in the future I will stay out of these threads until after the episode airs.

From the other thread:

No spoilers, or discussion of last week's promos, just wild speculation about robot t-rexes and zombie dads. And I used to read it every week to get me hyped up for that night's show.
