Veronica Mars - 5/3
Tonights the night! Who rapes Veronica? Was it Logan? Duncan? Eric Cartman? Well, we find out tonight!
Spoiler:
|
Can't wait for this. This is my favorite show on TV now, and I am going to miss it after next week. At least it is coming back next season.
|
Haven't been this excited for a t.v show in a while. Can't wait to find out who raped Veronica.

Alright so it was
Spoiler:
Next week looks like its going to fucking rock! |
Wow.
I feel bad for people not watching this show, though I do have to admit, I hate the thought of all these horrible things happening to lil' Veronica. |
Since Duncan was drugged too, does that still make it rape?
"Because you're my SISTER!" Hopefully the DNA test will prove that Keith is Veronica's real father. Mom's home! |
Great episode. Are Duncan and Veronica really sibling?
|
Actually, in the back of my mind, I knew they had set up the "are they, or aren't they" notion, and then the writers used that nugget to plunge the viewers into ick-ville. I spent the rest of the episode going "I can't believe they went there, but the rest of the episode played out so surreal, Veronica acted really strange, and totally off her game. Maybe she was on tilt, even after her stopover at Wallace's, but the writing got a little bizarre after a season of getting strong conclusions, the last 20 minutes just got ick-ier and ick-ier. Veronica finding out about Logan's love pad setup was just the tip of the iceberg with him.
|
First of all, I don't think the event counted as a rape. If Duncan's story was accurate, then it was consensual. Veronica presumed it was rape, because she couldn't remember it, and because she had been drugged. Incest, yes, but rape, no. That is, if Duncan REALLY is her brother. I'm not sure if I'm willing to draw that conclusion yet. There's still too many question marks. If he is, it's going to make it extremely difficult for the writers to get Veronica back to her 'normal' clear-headed self. That kind of thing has GOT to send you to therapy for life.
I think I see where the story may be going though. Spoiler:
|
Wow - after being MIA in regards to this show for several months, what a crazy episode to come back to. Blah...I can't believe that they actually played out that angle. I expected so much more - hope that was a stupid little twist that they are throwing at us.

Logan did something. They're setting him up to be too knight in shinning armor like. Even with the video tape bit from last night, there still has to be something else. I'm really glad Veronica is bringing Wallace into the fold. He's been down for her since day one when she's really given him no reason to be...which means HE KILLED LILY! :D |
Certainly the murderer is going to be a character on the show, not some unknown person. I think we can safely eliminate Veronica and her dad, leaving
Wallace Wallace's mom Logan Logan's mom or dad or sister Duncan Duncan's mom or dad The thug (forgot his name) I am going with Harry Hamlin, if for no other reason than he has no connection to the murder :p |
After the rape story's climax, I'm wondering if we haven't been thinking of this in the wrong terms about who killed Lily.
Spoiler:
|
Now that they had Duncan bring up the fact that Veronica might be his sister I think Keith will be he father now.
I don't like how they've ended the show the past two weeks with Veronica finding something out about Logan and just leaving. Confronting him about the whole thing seems more her character. I'm even more confused about who killed Lily now. |
On the one hand, it would be hard to see Logan continue on in the show after being involved with humiliating Veronica when she was drugged and drugging Duncan resulting in them having sex (it was hard to believe Veronica forgave that) AND now with him being a serious PERV with some other issue that obviously freaked Veronica out, BUT then it's hard to imagine Logan being the killer because it would seem like he and his family wouldn't be around next season unless they wanted to get even with Veronica for finding out that he did it, which doesn't make sense. So why get us to start liking Harry Hamlin and bother to bring in Alyson Hannigan, who said she was under the impression her character was only being introduced and would have more to do with the show later on, only to have Logan go to prison and, basically, have that entire family leave the show?
I have no idea who did it, but the Kane family seems more expendable to the show. But a Kane being the murderer seems too obvious, especially with the big fit Duncan had to remind us all how out of control and violent he could become. Damn, I have no idea. I do think it's a safer bet that Keith turns out to be Veronica's dad. The whole incest thing would kind of be creepy if it turns out to be really true and, besides, I think they know the audience really likes Keith and Veronica's relationship and wouldn't want to take that away or put the strain of them not really even being related on us. Did Veronica's mom do it? |

I really don't think it's Logan. I think the revelations at the end of the past two episodes kinda make it way too obvious that he's not a great person. Having him be the one who killed Lily might be too obvious. I actually hope that there's some explanation for that surveillance equipment since Logan is one of my favorite characters and it sucks that he's being played up so much as a bad person after seemingly redeeming himself throughout this season.
It can't be Wallace or his mom since their new to Neptune. I really have no clue who the killer could be at this point. None of the characters really stand out as being evil except Celeste Kane and Clarence Wiedman. EDIT: Someone made an interesting point at AICN about the video surveillance. That wasn't Logan's room, but more a common room. That's why he needed a key to the cabinet. If it was his room, he wouldn't. The video stuff is probably his Aaron Echolls since when he was a celebrity he was a lot more vain, as evidence earlier in the season. |
So I just saw the promo for the season finale (was it 1 minute long on TV, I dl so I don't know), but it literally gave me chills. I can't wait to see it.
|
Yeah, I never assumed the hidden cameras were necessarily Logan's doing.
|
I can't wait to see how that wrap things up in a one-hour show next week. Lots of stuff to resolve, though I guess they could leave some things for next season. Lily's murderer, Veronica's mom, DNA test, Wallace's mom...I'm sure I'm leaving out tons of other stuff.
I still remember thinking after the pilot episode that I couldn't believe just how much stuff they jammed in there without it feeling like too much. So I have faith. Veronica hasn't let me down yet, why would she start now? |

Plus the big unrelated cliffhanger has to fit in there too. |
If Veronica was my sister, I wouldn't have needed the drug to get me back into bed with her. And I would have been there in morning to help her find and put back on her panties.

Definitely an over-share.
