Family Guy is back on FOX... on Wed.

This Wed. FOX is doing a 2 hour (4 eps) Family Guy marathon with "olympic/games" themes...

When I saw the ad tonight I was wondering if this topic was opened yet.

Say, you might want to edit your post to read, "Just a reminder this wed...."

There's alot of really anal people here and they're always looking at an excuse to rip on people who so call "repost". I bet in a few hours everyone will be going on posting links to previous threads. (Sigh)

They said the 4 eps were hand-picked by Steh Mac Farlane.

Even though I've seen these episodes a million times, I feel like we have achieved victory, now that it's back on Fox.

What was the deal with them censoring the word "crap", blurring out cartoon butts, and one of the cards with various disasters changing from Bush to Jerry Springer? Was this necessary?

First thing I noticed from the shows-- well second thing, the first was that my favorite ep. The road to Europe one was there-- was that if these are Seth's favs, then why did he not do commentary on them for the DVDs?

But forget all that, what's up with American Dad. MAn did that look awful. I sure hope it's not as lame as it looked last night.

I can maybe understand the Bush thing (just barely), but the other two really threw me. We've seen cartoon butts quite frequently on the Simpsons. If I remember correctly, there were definitely some shots of both Homer and Marge from behind in the episode where they were both naked in public for some reason (I barely remember that episode... it's the one where they end up landing in a football field in a hot air balloon), as well as the one where they were Adam and Eve (Marge may have been covered by her hair, though).

And I KNOW I've heard "crap" before on Fox, on the Simpsons at least once, and it wouldn't surprise me at all if it showed up in something like The Simple Life or Trading Spouses.

Like tonytapez said, this doesn't bode well for when the show returns. A lot of the humor of Family Guy comes from the fact the whole "I can't believe they got away with saying/doing that!" factor, and dumbing the show down really runs the risk of turning it into some sort of strange Simpsons clone.

Dr. Drew said on LoveLine last week that he was going into the studio to record a part for Family Guy. He had been begging anyone related to the show to try and get him a part for months. He did it with Seth McFarlane, Seth Green and Alex Borstein when they were Loveline guests and then he hit up Mila Kunis when he ran into her at a party a couple of weeks ago.

Drew said he would be playing a doctor, but not himself.

Seth has said that he and crew did commentary for all of the episodes but fox only put 2 per disc out of 8 episodes.

It also probably helped that Adam Carolla did the voice of Death for a few episodes.

Thought it was funny that Fox, of all networks, left in the long "Did Bush give up when......." tirade from Ready, Willing, Disabled, but still edited out words that they found perfectly acceptable three years ago........

FOX is doing this again next Wednesday, the 25th. According to Yahoo, the episodes are: "Wasted Talent", "He's Too Sexy For His Fat", "I Am Peter, Hear Me Roar", and "To Live And Die In Dixie".

Wasted Talent: really good ep. Lots going on in only 22 minutes. Love the TV show themes at the competition and the Willy Wonka homage.

He's Too Sexy For His Fat: Eh....

I Am Peter, Hear Me Roar OK, funny in places

To Live and Die in Dixie: Great ep, one of my faves: perv with the walker, Stewie's band, Dukes of Hazzard bits, southern jokes ("I feel so deliciously white trash. Mommy, I want a mullet!!").

All in all, not as good as the four from last week.........

My favorite line from To Live and Die in Dixie, they go in the house and look in the closet, and Jeff Foxworthy is in it. Stewie yells, "YOU SUCK!" and slams the door...classic

I noticed that they edited out the word "crap" or "dump" in I am Peter Hear Me Roar. "Is that the one we video taped taking a ____?" This doesn't bode well at all for the new eps.

I love To Live and Die in Dixie though.

"What are you doing?"
"Playing your guy"
"Fine! I didn't want to play anyway!"

And see my sig for the best one (already mentioned)

But then at the end of the episode Peter says "Holy crap this is hot!" WTF is going on?

1) original run of family guy
2) janet jackson's boob at the superbowl
3) recent mini-marathons of family guy

are you REALLY not understanding why stuff that could beat the censors the first time around can't this time?
