Smallville 4/27

FOTW shoots clark with some weird hand energy and he gets amnesia
Spoiler:
Chloe tells clark she knows about some of his powers, and in the course of helping him regain memory learns of some other powers.
25 minutes in my prediction is that something big will give clark his memory back, but erase everything that happened between losing it and getting it back

Patman 04-27-05 07:29 PM

I had to laugh when amnesiac Clark first sees Lana again, and his heat vision goes wonky on him. "Premature combustion", indeed. :D

mikehunt 04-27-05 07:48 PM

ah crap.
Spoiler:
why'd he have to wipe chloe's mind too?

although my prediction was right

edit: good,
Spoiler:
chloe's wipe was just the last 5 minutes kind

Patman 04-27-05 07:51 PM

Boom! There's goes the reset button once again.

mikehunt 04-27-05 08:02 PM

B&B must have been involved

runner001 04-27-05 08:04 PM

missed the teaser. how did clark get his memory wiped again?

Amel 04-27-05 08:04 PM

Not too bad. I dug the Chloe(who somehow looked really hot tonight)/Clark interaction, which is something I've never really liked up to now. I loved that Clark still got hot for Lana.

Still can't stand Lois.

Patman 04-27-05 08:13 PM

Ouch, Chloe just kicked Clark in the nutsack with kryptonite-tipped boots with her last comment to Clark.

ATX 04-27-05 08:16 PM

good episode, finally wrote something decent for chloe

could have did without lana

i'm glad they didn't make chloe forget everything

this is 2005, writers need to come up with something other than amnesia :D although it worked for this episode

Patman 04-27-05 08:31 PM

How far back did Chloe's memory loss go?

BTW, I did like the interpersonal stuff between Clark and Chloe. Chloe must be besides herself seeing Clark, even Clark with amnesia, be so attracted to Lana just at the mere sight of her.

ATX 04-27-05 08:56 PM

if they aren't physically beating up chloe in episodes, they come with a mental bitchslap when she's feeling good with that clark/lana nonsense

if they had to include jason in this episode they should have had him choke lana for laughs

according to the memory dude, when he zaps somebody it erases the last few minutes of memory

mikehunt 04-27-05 08:59 PM

couple minutes at most, like normally for that guy's power
so she still remembers clark rediscovering all his powers
hopefully her comment to clark about him trusting her will make him realize she knows and he'll open up to her
it was cool that pete knew, then of course he left

Patman 04-27-05 09:10 PM

Ah. Clark looked so torn up about Chloe might know his secret at the end of the episode. Tom Welling must be really practicing his acting chops.

resinrats 04-27-05 09:20 PM

While watching, I was thinking they would wipe her memory (it would take a few months worth) and I knew people here would yell about it. Thankfully, she just doesn't remember Clark stopping those lab cylinder things.

Terrell 04-27-05 09:54 PM

Boom! There's goes the reset button once again.
Yeah, but I believe Chloe still remembers everything except the last few minutes, or hours.

Timber 04-27-05 09:58 PM

I felt so bad for Chloe this episode. She's clearly still in love with Clark and he continues to be clueless.

I was so prepared to hate this episodebut I was plesantly suprised.

Patman 04-27-05 10:15 PM

Lex was really awkward in this episode.

Slayer2005 04-27-05 10:19 PM

Good episode. I had predicted that they would somehow wipe Chloe's memory of ever remembering Clark's secret. Near the end of I thought my prediction was about to come true. I'm glad only a few minutes of her memory was erased, otherwise I would've been pissed (unless of course Clark came clean, that would've been cool). I knew they would somehow erase Lois' memory, but all I asked for is for them not to do it to Chloe, so I'm glad they didn't pull that crap. I really wish Clark would come clean with Chloe. She made it pretty obvious that she knows.

He'll probably come clean to Lana soon though instead, and that will really piss off Chloe.

I actually liked the Clark/Chloe interaction during this ep. Usually, I can't stand her.

I really liked it when Chloe, Lois and the Sheriff saw Clark save Chloe - their reactions were great.

fumanstan 04-27-05 11:51 PM

I actually liked Clark and Lana in this episode, with the "this time it will be different" lines. Makes me feel all sentimental and junk :P

God i hope Lex does something interesting with the caves. Blow up that wall. Blow up the entire cave. Just SOMETHING.

Iron_Giant 04-28-05 12:45 AM

One of fav shows all year.

Since Chole found out about Clark, she has become the most interesting person on the show. Her line at the end was a perfect way to end it, both my wife and I started laughing.

I read somewhere that Lana finds out about Clark, but Chole does not let them know she knows, hurt feeling are everywhere.

SuprVgeta 04-28-05 02:31 AM

"Premature combustion" . I liked this episode. Pretty devious move on Lex's part in tricking memory-loss Clark. I was in the same boat as others here in thinking they might erase all of Chloe's knowledge about Clark's powers. I'm glad they didn't. I'm pretty upset that since Lionel has gone back to the darkside, we have not seen him for two episodes, come on guys bring back Lionel. Funny reactions by Lois and the sheriff (she's been in like two episodes lol) when Clark caught the pillars. I liked the part where Clark ripped the door off the farmhouse as well. I tell you, it's all about the little things that makes Smallville my favorite show ;)

Legolas 04-28-05 03:10 AM

Another episode full of potential and poor on execution, especially with the failure to really capitalize on the Chloe-knows thing and the resorting to the reset button. They could've had something special with this show if they would limit the freak-of-the-week and actually let the storylines play out over several episodes... and I don't mean stuff like the Lana-ancestor-reincarnation-revenge crap.

Oh well. Lost is back next week, so bye to Smallville for the rest of the season.

exactly. if the producers/writers/creators were smart, they would have pulled out all the stops to grab as many wandering viewers as possible during this time. I used to watch smallville. now it's back to Lost. sad to say smallville is good, but not good enough for me to record and watch later. i'll catch it on reruns or something.
