Hopefully this gets another run at some point next year. I'm starting to like this show a lot (and I'm a fan of the BBC production.)
|
I had the TV on while doing something last night and Two and a Half Men came on. How in the hell is that show doing so good and the Office getting so bad of ratings? Who has the Neilsen boxes?

I suppose this is the exact audience that advertisers want to focus on as well. The dumb are easily influenced by commercials. |
Tonight's episode sounds like it could be hilarious.
Now just if people would watch it... |
Wow.... I've been "meaning to add a SP on the TiVo" for this show for a while (having seen all the UK eps, including the Xmas special), and we are already at the season finale??? -eek-

Speaking of which, tonight seems to draw another parallel to a UK version storyline |
Looking forward to tonight's episode. I had only missed one (the sensitivity training one), but luckily caught it the other night when CNBC (I think) reran all of the episodes thus far.

I never look at ratings so I don't know how bad it's doing. Are they so bad that these 6 eps aren't even going to be repeated after tonight? Any word on renewal or cancelation? |
season finale? Very short season. But i enjoy the show and will continue to watch.

You forget the difference... the big difference. The Office is on NBC and Arrested Development is on Fox. regardless of the numbers, the one on fox is always in danger. ;) |
I really hope this show can explore some other areas of comedy besides the "Whoops, the boss said something offensive." So far its been pretty funny, but very repetitive and limited in the comedy department.
|
I just caught up with all 5 episodes, and can't wait for this one. I had very low expectations for this show, but it has been great.
|
I liked Steve Carell on the Daily Show, but I think he's actually the weakest part of the show. Maybe I'm comparing him to Ricky Gervais, which is totally unfair; but he tends to play the boss as an idiot rather than a person who does idiotic things because of his overwhelming vanity and insecurity.
Anyway, it's still better than most of the other crap that passes for a sitcom these days. I understand why a show like this or AD isn't a top 10 show, but it just astounds me that there aren't enough people in this country who enjoy the show to keep it on the air. |
This episode wasnt very funny, worst out of all of them
|
I agree that Carrell's character is awful; they need to make him more subtle, and less outright obnoxious, or show less of him overall.
That said, wow, "Katie" is friggin hot! (I love redheads) |
Ok, was the girl who played "Katie" the same girl as Pam? Just wondering because they looked awfully alike. If it was the same girl then they did an amazing job at making it look seemless when the two of them were talking. This episode wasn't that funny, but I still enjoyed it because I like seeing Jim and Pam interact.
|
Loved it when they were cleaning out the car:
"How many Filet 'o Fishes did you eat?" "That's over several months, Ryan."

Decent episode, but nothing like last weeks. Still hope this show comes back, but not holding my breath.
|
I hope this show comes back...I think it shows lots of potential
