The Contender 4/14/05: Double Episode
 

Don't forget that the Contender tonight is a double episode with 2 elimination fights.

It seems like a lot of ppl don't like Ishe

Ishe likes Ishe atleast ;)

at least some of the fighters are starting to use strategy now.

Although not many like Ishe, he's my favorite. I also like his opponent as well so it'll be sad to see one of them go.

Sergio's my favorite but it will be a tough match against Ishe.

Mel Gibson, William Shatner, and James Caan in the crowd tonight.

I think that Mel & Caan have been at every fight.

Ishe has definitely fought the best ppl pre-Conterder.

He beat David Estrada who just lost a decision to Shane Mosely last night. He also beat Randall Bailey who lost to Miguel Cotto & Demarcus "Chop Chop" Corley.

Ishe is a beast.

I love how Ahmed is in Sergio's corner and Alphonso is in Ishe's corner.

Good fight :) love the way the Latin Snake made Ishe miss,lets see how the judges score it.

That was a clear fight. Rounds 1, 4, & 5 to Sergio. Rounds 2 & 3 to Ishe.

Sergio definitely earned this victory.

Jesse looks pretty smart now for settin that fight up.

I totally forgot to mention Ahmed's shirt. It said "Champion of Contender" on the front and "Hollywood" on the back. :lol:

Also, Sly called him "Ack-med" and not "Ah-med" :lol:

I also loved Sergios' Sugar-Ray windup punch.

Personally, although Ishe lost, I still think he has the best natural ability of the bunch. Sergio was simply the smarter fighter in that fight. Sergio deserves his props

I dont think Ahmed will ever run outta confidence :lol:

Good fight, the twists and turns of this competition probably comes from most of these fighters not being known enough to set up the viewer's expectations, and when the "upset" is scored, it makes for good TV.

Now, that obstacle course was plain silly because there are so many places to twist a knee, turn an ankle, etc.

Looks like a Alphonso/Ahmed fight shapin up to me.

Ahmed definitely wasn't humbled by his loss. He's cockier than ever.

Ahmed is a moron. Why would he think that Joey or any of the other guys would want him to win? :lol:

Yeah pink for the military man wasnt a good choice :lol: Nice of Joey to let Peter win,not sure why he did that though.

I think that Joey is well off and I think his strategy was to let Peter take the heat for pairing Alphonso with Ahmed.

Joey didn't ruffle any feathers. You can tell that he's very intelligent and that he went to law school

Well i was right,Alphonso vs Ahmed,should be good.

they showed it in the previews so this fight was expected. Hek, they showed Sergio fighting Ishe in the previews as well.

Good fight :) Had to laugh when Ahmed put his hand up and he got popped in the mouth :lol: Lets see what he has to say now ;)
