I wonder if Carolyn still thinks he's a great kid after her called her Caroline again in the taxi.
I don't think Carolyn really feels that way. I think she was just doing what she has always done: wait for Trump to express his opinion, then agree with it.

Gil Jawetz 04-15-05 06:24 AM

SHe had that "choking back vomit" smile on when she said he was a great kid.

Trump definitely saw a little of himself when he did what he did at the end of the show with Chris. Honestly, how many 22 year old MILLIONARE real estate people do you know? If Chris can take care of his attitude issues he can be a real force, but if his incident at that casino this week is any indication who knows? Then again, you have to wonder if Chris did not PLAN this incident in some way, shape, or form because he did know that the next episode coming out had him being fired.

That line by Tana about sluts and virgin was a riot. And maybe not not so much Craig, but to call Tana weak for not being able to do the all nighter. I would imagine back in the day, since she is a mother has had plenty of sleepless nights taking care of newborns. She is just quite a bit older now and just cannot do it. Heck, when Star Wars Ep.3 comes out, I will be at the 12:01 AM showing but you better believe I will be coming home after work and taking a 2 hour nap before heading back out to the movie (and I am only 31). Simple fact is that the older you get, you are less likely to be able to do an all-nighter, especially without any caffeine as was suggested by Tana that Kendra would be drinking all that coffee.

Chris had it coming. I still can't believe he survived last week's credit card debacle.

I actually thought Net Worth's brochure wasn't as bad as Carolyn, George and Trump were making it out to be. The blurred picture was not a good choice for the first page, but it is not a bad idea to show the quickness and speed of the car that way. Magna's brochure looked like a dictionary to me, just a bunch of word definitions and not much info on the car from what I could tell. I think Magna won on the overall concept (round design, better cover, inclusion of CD--very smart) and not on content.

I was hoping Chris would finally win tonight so Tana and Craig would get raked over the coals for quitting. Personally I don't care for Tana. She seems so pretentious. Trying to steal the presentation from Kendra was despicable. But did they not discuss beforehand who was going to give the presentation?

I guess I'm rooting for Bren and Craig at this point, but the pool is real shallow with these candidates.

The most obvious thing about the show is that Craig is deeply in love with Kendra but can't come to terms with it.

Despite the fact that Kendra won this task (virtually) single-handedly, I'm still not convinced that she's all that great. Her brochure wasn't bad and I admired her work ethic in the task, but she was a terrible leader. Her teammates didn't listen to her. She had no control over them and they pretty much just walked out on her. She just got frazzled and all "I'll do it myself then!!!" And finally, she didn't seem to have any real plan set for the presentation, as it became a free-for-all with her and Tana jousting for talk time.

Really?

I see a great future at Ulong Industries Inc. for Chris.

Not that he wouldn't have been a great fit at Wernham Hogg.

nickdawgy 04-15-05 11:25 AM

It was sad that Chris was crying. He turned out to be a good guy, I think. I think Tana is a royal bitch, and I hope she gets fired next. Bren is turning out to be a cool guy, too. Kendra is also impressing me lately.

I thought it was funny how Chris flubbed the name of the car. "The Solster Roadster...Solstice Roadster"

I think the "oh my god" moment might have been them first seeing the brochure or the car for the first time (didn't someone say "oh my god?"), and they just made it look like it was this huge thing. Either that or it was the crying.

I am hoping Kendra or Bren win.

ITA. While I admire her hard work, I got sick of hearing her brag about it. I hate people like that. They insist on doing eveything their way and by themselves, and then they complain about how they had to do all the work. She needed to step down off her self-made cross and stop trying to be such a martyr.

:( I still think Craig and Tana should have helped her with the construction of the cross.

Seriously, I totally agree. Kendra gets an A+ for creativity and work ethic this week (although that brochure was extremely short on information about the car), but an F- for leadership. She didn't communicate her ideas, she didn't delegate, she didn't make appropriate use of her employees' time, and she didn't instill confidence in them.

taa455 04-15-05 12:32 PM

Did it seem to anyone else the execs had already picked Magna's brochure before Net Worth had a chance? Even before they saw Net Worth's product they had these obvious smirks on their faces. Maybe it was because Net Worth was three somewhat goofy-looking males who right off the bat set up posters with clevage shots of women bending over the hood of the car. The execs didn't much care for that angle, I suppose.

Kendra this episode reminded me of Elizabeth from last season on the NYPD recruiting video task. No ability to get the team's support. A hard worker, but no leadership.

Yeah, but that girl and that task last season were a trainwreck from the word "go". She didn't have a clear vision and could never make up her mind and when Kevin told her to make some decisions she waffled some more and wound up changing at least one time midstream.

At least Kendra knew what she wanted to do from the beginning and just needed to get there. She just didn't have any help to get to the finish. I will agree that neither of them had the respect or help of their teammates.

Is that really their fault though? They have no leverage to get people to do what they want. The show is kind of a joke in that way. Trump is always quick to point out "you're a terrible leader" but the project manager never has any leverage or true power. And if the people don't want to work there isn't a ton of incentive to get them to work. Nine times out of 10 Trump will fire the PM for bad leadership if the team tanks. I don't care how charismatic the leader is. If the employee doesn't fear for their job they don't have any true incentive. Thus Tana and Craig clocking out and going to bed. Sure Trump could fire them but he usually pigeon-holes the PM.

Gil Jawetz 04-15-05 01:36 PM

I agree. Craig has it in for Kendra and that's it. She's not a magician. If he goes home and goes to sleep, or if he is combative and says that she didn't say something that we all saw her say there's little she can do. She can't fire him, she can't slap him. He's not acting like someone who works at a company. He's acting like a big baby.

John-In-VA 04-15-05 02:05 PM

Maybe Craig should have thought about his Home Depot box thing where nobody would listen to him at first and he turned out to be right and won the task. He seems to really hate Kendra, but it's unclear why. He(and Tana too) should have at least given her props when they raved about her brochure. If I recall correctly, some of the others admitted to Craig that he was indeed right all along with his Home Depot box.

Just proved more that he wasn't right for the "job."

I thought the preview was funny... "Now it starts ta get good.." Like...'yeah, we know this season's been crap...but..there's only a few people left. C'mon..watch again..please?!' :)

maingon 04-15-05 05:52 PM

this season has people that you know they arent gonna make it, i cant stand Tana, i hope Kendra or Craig make it, even though he was an ass this episode but so was everyone else when he wanted to make a box, the team left him

i hate how everyone week, nbc makes this show look so dramatic and all OMG moments, but nothing really big never happens.

i doubt trump made the show in one dunk, they just had to show Trump making a dunk in one shot, hes god on this show,

i laughed when they won, craig said at the end of the day we all contributed, Kendra did EVERYTHING in this task

MiamiVP 04-15-05 09:21 PM

Look at all the Tana haters..... Don't hate on Tana. She's smart.... She's cunning, and she's determined. I'm down with T! Even without the twins (o)(o) !!!!!!!
