Sounds like it could be promising. :)

Geofferson 04-05-05 11:24 AM

Sounds like it could be funny.

Red Dog 04-05-05 11:26 AM

Big episode for me. If it is like the last episode, I'll keep it high on my watch list. If it is like the pilot, it gets moved down.

Big Boy Laroux 04-05-05 11:26 AM

Sounds like it could be... not as good as the BBC version. :)

sorry, just had to get it out of the way.

i liked the last episode (and the pilot, too, although not as much). Hopefully tuesday will shore up as a great night of comedy, with this and scrubs.

Funniest episode yet; this show is really growing on me. There were so many cringe-worthy moments this time!! I couldn't stop laughing at "Count Choculilitis" and "Anal Fissures" rotfl

B.A. 04-05-05 08:59 PM

Okay - if people are taking the time to tune into the OTA HD station, do you think they really want their HD experience interrupted every five minutes so they can know the results of the county board election in bum-fuck Missouri?

Trelach24 04-05-05 09:29 PM

I loved the first two episodes but I thought this one really sucked :(

j123vt_99 04-05-05 09:33 PM

I like the show alot, but there is just something about it that irks me.. I can;t figure it out... Maybe it is a art-type thing like lack of color... Not sure, but something is wrong

I thought this one was the best yet.

Brain Stew 04-05-05 09:50 PM

When Dwight was reading the diseases I lost it.

"Government funded nano-robot assassin."

clemente 04-05-05 09:59 PM

"I still have a vagina."

I couldn't stop laughing at that. If it weren't for Franklin on Sunday's AD, that would have been the funniest thing I'd seen on TV in weeks.

First time I've watched this version, and I enjoyed the jokes, etc., but I am not so sure I like the actors who play each character. They don't "fit" well for me.

I concur.

Zman 04-05-05 10:19 PM

I loved this episode. This is def one of my favorite shows.

Timmio 04-05-05 10:32 PM

"inverted penis" :)

This show has the funny...

Schloob1 04-05-05 10:54 PM

This one actually showed that it has some promise, thought the first 2 were not good at all just putting together some good jokes here and there. However this week I was definitely entertained with only a brief bad feeling that the first 2 had given me pretty much the whole time.

The whole vagina/uterus thing was a riot. Anal fissures lame. Workspace/office scene, that whole bit between those 2 and then the girl calling was great.

fallfan 04-05-05 10:58 PM

I really think the US version is coming together. I liked that they ended the episode on a sad, pathetic note.

I also loved the exchange about anal fissures:
"No people here have that."
"Some people here have that."

nazz 04-05-05 11:40 PM

This was the best one yet in my opinion.

FinkPish 04-05-05 11:46 PM

"So when you get down there, what, do you have laser tag or something?"

BabiG 04-06-05 12:57 AM

I think they're slowly starting to differentiate this show from the BBC show, though I'm sure for many people it'll never be different enough, or the same enough. The boss doesn't have as much of a desire to be "the funny guy" as Ricky Gervais', it's more of a desire to appear in control, and the office workers are more confrontational with him then they were in the UK version, which kind of fits the stereotypes of the two countries if you think about it.

Patman 04-06-05 01:27 AM

This episode culled bits from the BBC version (like Dwight fighting for an office, even if it's really just a workspace).

I only laughed about 22 minutes into the episode, when the 'inverted penis' was mentioned as an ailment. Otherwise, I'm still not really feeling it for this show.

MrX 04-06-05 02:25 AM

I thought it was good, not as good as last weeks though.

Dwight wasn't as annoying this episode which was good.

spainlinx0 04-06-05 03:51 AM

Dwight's reading of the diseases was my favorite part of the show this week. The nano robots line made me laugh out loud.

Shannon Nutt 04-06-05 04:31 AM

Okay, that was damn funny! I loved the mine shaft conversation and the ice cream bar scene (especially when they were throwing them around). Like the BBC series, the characters are starting to grow on me after a few episodes...let's just hope it doesn't get cancelled before we see them all.

It's just so refreshing to see a comedy in prime time that is both well-written and doesn't have a stupid laugh track.
