Simpsons 03/13/05

I thought that this was a pretty good episode, with some funny bits throughout.

I'll add more thoughts when it airs in the US.

Me007gold 03-13-05 07:12 PM

Spoiler:
looks like shes out of eggs, and if your watching this. you are too

"Wow, It makes the Lincoln Memorial look like crap"

"Don't mention it, Ms...Oct...Tober... but don't look at her pass port, ittttttts different!"

BJacks 03-13-05 07:24 PM

Fortune cookie bit was quick, but funny.

I've never seen them run a segment over the end credits before. Is that new?

They have been doing it all season. I don't get the value in it, but it's so short that I really don't care either way.

chileorgullo 03-13-05 07:40 PM

on a similar note.
on a re run of the rolling stones episode, there was a live action clips of the guys practicing their voices. not from the original airing.

BlackCapTen 03-13-05 08:21 PM

I enjoyed this one. I guess Ling is a new character, and Patty and Selma won't smoke much any more?

I tried to draw Bart, it looked ridiculous. I'll post it later.

Homer choking the panda had me rotfl

madcougar 03-13-05 10:07 PM

The dragons crying rainbows was classic.

I have no clue what's going on, but this season has been the consistently funniest in about five years.

Those dragons were hilarious and I agree on this season, its rekindled some of its old magic.

"Oh my thingies!"

Ted The Bug 03-13-05 10:15 PM

The first act of tonights episode was extremely solid. Rest of the episode was also really good. Best season in years.

Shazam 03-13-05 10:31 PM

Some great lines tonight:

"Eat my cattle!"
"Feast on my shorts!"

Snowmaker 03-13-05 10:40 PM

Why was Selma (or was it Patty?, I forget) driving in the car with Mr. Burns at the beginning anyway?

Smithers: "Good thing the airbag deployed, sir."
Mr. Burns: "Those are my lungs." *sluuurp*

Rogue588 03-13-05 10:48 PM

This was a pretty funny episode.

Because she was giving him his drivers license test, they had a little bit about that.

Hahhaha I knew there would be huge hi-jinx when Homer said he was a "Chinese acrobat" when asked what he did for a living.....hahahhahaah!...A quality episode

That was actually one of my least favorite parts since the punchline wasn't so much clever as it was exceedingly obvious.

If I had to guess: I think the creators are sick of having their end credits either spoken over or reduced to a small box while Fox starts promoting something else. I think I would make full use of my time in this way as well. I'd just pick something more interesting. :)

OK, thanks. I missed the first 30 seconds or so.

"Welcome to Tiananmen Square
On this site in 1989, nothing happened"

rotfl
So wrong, and yet so funny.

majorjoe23 03-14-05 12:21 PM

One of my co-workers just got back from adopting a girl in China last week. He loved the episode, but said some parts weren't very accurate (they don't require adoptive parents to married) and some very accurate (on this site in 1989, nothing happened).

Groucho 03-14-05 12:22 PM

I'm sure any accuracy in the episode was purely a coincidence.

Cusm 03-14-05 12:25 PM

Is it just me or did Robert Wagner make you miss Troy McClure?

I thought the exact same thing when I saw the video. It would have been so much better with him. :(
