Carl Weathers is back? Sweet. And Henry Winkler makes every episode he's in so much better. Sounds like it should be hilarious.

Geofferson 03-13-05 05:59 PM

Weathers

Great episode, chuckles all around. I believe George Michael is my favorite part of the show.

Man, what a ton of obscure references to previous episodes tonight

henryfish 03-13-05 10:32 PM

I missed the bit with the burger king tie in. Could somebody fill me in?

Snowmaker 03-13-05 10:36 PM

All the novelty license plates of the acting parts Tobias didn't get:

Yeah. The best were the license plates of acting gigs Tobias didn't get. "Dr House".

Matthew Chmiel 03-13-05 10:42 PM

"I'm having a tea party! What the fuck does it look like I'm doing? STOP LICKING MY HAND!"

I think it was "going on this religious thing"

something like that. no big deal.

god, this is a great show, but it becomes more obvious with each episode how hard it would be for new viewers to catch on. but i say, who cares about new viewers? i think it's funny!

Ted The Bug 03-13-05 11:50 PM

You know what else is funny? The original title of this episode was "Tendercrisp Chicken Sandwhich", before it was changed to Motherboy 30.

BigDan 03-14-05 12:02 AM

I didn't even catch the Fonzie jumping the shark thing. I mean, I saw it, but it didn't connect for me.

Once again, there's just so much going on in these episodes.

Merkin Muffley 03-14-05 12:02 AM

When Lindsay was going into Dave Atell's trailer, there was a quick glimpse of the actor playing the part of Annyong.

Prior to this season, there was a promotional tie-in to AD at Burger King (signs on the tables, a contest, I think). In this episode, Carl Weathers meets Tobias at a Burger King for the most obvious product placement ever on TV, including three or four wide shots of the restraunt anytime anyone said "Burger King". Tobias comments "This is a great restraunt" to which Ron Howard voices over "It suuurrre is!". Funny stuff.
And I totally missed the jumping the shark reference. God this show is good, but you really have to pay attention.

Also loved all the references to my favorite episode from last season with the one-armed lesson teacher.

What did Buster's clock say? It was too dark for me to see on my tv.

It said ALARM OFF, but he held his (remaining) hand up to block the first two letters. He saw ARM OFF and freaked out.
