The Apprentice 3/10

Time for CORPORATE RE-SHUFFLE! No more Street Smart or Book Smart teams!

"Bling It On", Episode #308.

The teams meet with popular music artists to help raise money for charity; one candidate tries to act a little too hip while another becomes star-struck.

DISCUSS THE OUTCOME!

taa455 03-10-05 04:33 PM

I'm actually looking forward to this ep. Corporate restructuring is sorely needed!

BassDude 03-10-05 04:59 PM

Hmm...I thought the whole point of this one was to see who would win from Street or Book smarts. Gonna "muddy the waters" now...if Street and Book are helping each other win.

Will we ever get a definitive answer as to which is better: Book or Street Smarts?!?!?! :)

I was disappointed to see Audrey get fired last week instead of John. I think he's an idiot unlike some of my co-workers. Oh well. Here's hoping its a good episode and John is fired.

movieking 03-10-05 06:52 PM

Do we know who these popular music artists are?

attrition 03-10-05 08:29 PM

John has gone retarded. He started off strong, but as the weeks go by he just gets worse and worse

jpdude 03-10-05 08:40 PM

John needs to go...he's an disgrace to his team.

I've only been watching for 2 weeks and this overweight incompetent Vince Vaughn needs to go... It was funny how Gene Simmons shut him up after he told his stupid "KISS" childhood story

My wife cheered out loud when he got fired.

I thought the same thing - he seemed really strong in the early goings, but got more annoying as they progressed. None of these people seems like "the one" to me.

Patman 03-10-05 09:25 PM

There are no good candidates this season, but I think the Donald has a thing for Erin...

Jadzia 03-10-05 10:06 PM

Gawd, that one chick was so embarrassing on the video. Yeah, let's get the stiff suburban lady to talk ghetto. Laughingly bad.

And Carolyn mocking her was funny stuff....'We be talking now!'.

taa455 03-10-05 10:54 PM

Donald is in love with Erin! She will make it close to the end, if not the final two.

jpdude 03-10-05 11:08 PM

what i love about this season is that we're hearing more from Carolyn and George.....especially Carolyn. The Donald was wise to start featuring them a little bit more than in previous seasons.

vdadlani219 03-10-05 11:12 PM

Well it just out here in CA...but I'm praying for some Lil Jon!

Osiris 03-11-05 12:07 AM

Gene is great.

movieking 03-11-05 06:14 AM

MILF rotfl

Glad to see Vince is gone. He was horrible in the task, from controlling all of the conversations to trying to pimp out the girls (mighty fine looking girls, I might add).

Trump is definitely mackin' on Erin, and unless she kills someone during a task, she is probably going to make it through to the finals.

I liked how Trump told her that she probably would not be fired, unless she kept talking. Then Trump told her to talk, and she refused. Other candidates probably would have taken the opportunity to keep talking.

nickdawgy 03-11-05 06:54 AM

I am so bummed John got fired. I agree he sucked in his constant "it's all about me" negotiating, but he was good for some laughs, and I liked his attitude.

The one person I can't stand is Bren. He just annoys me big time.

Groucho 03-11-05 07:33 AM

I was surprised to learn that Chris is only 21. Youngest Apprentice contestant ever?

Anyway, his days are numbered, especially if he keeps yelling at George and Carolyn.

JHosk 03-11-05 07:39 AM

Yeah...John came off as a real wanker in this episode. Especially the part where he was trying to hang with the Barenaked Ladies, and was talking about how he was going crazy from not playing the drums for three weeks. The dude from barenaked ladies gave him a classic look.

iggystar 03-11-05 08:51 AM

Do you actually think that Trump will choose someone without a degree in the end? I can't imagine a candidate during those interviews trying to explain why they didn't go to college Heck, last season Kevin got blasted for having too many degrees.

Metrodub 03-11-05 09:09 AM

As much as I wasn't surprised to see John get fired after two lackluster performances in a row, it did surprise me that Chris didn't get fired after his tirade in the boardroom. He went from zero to postal in 3 seconds flat. I thought George was going to jump across the table and smack him! He showed no respect towards Carolyn or George while trying to defend himself.

Despite there being noone to really cheer for this season, I think a lot of people are overlooking Kendra. She's done a lot recently and put the right people in the right place to succeed in this task.

I do agree that Trump is fawning over Erin. It's not even subtle.

My two favorite moments. I loved when Trump told Erin to talk, how she shook her head no just a little, like she was saying "uh uh". And the drummer guy didn't just give John a look, he said something along the lines of "O-kay..?" I was rolling.

I thought "ghetto MILF" thing was silly on the broadcast, but even worse when she was actually talking to Lil Jon and the others. It seemed so patronizing, and the sad part is she had no clue how stupid she sounded.

Yes, that was quite hilarious.

To be fair, ANYBODY who talks that way sounds ridiculous. Or perhaps I should say, ridizzlous?

I wanted to comment on this also. Chris is a psycho with a hair trigger. Every time he talks in the boardroom you feel like he is seconds away from slugging somebody. I remember in one of the first couple boardrooms, all of a sudden out of nowhere, he was just going off. I can't imagine him making it much farther. He's scary.

Some other miscellaneous thoughts...
Did anyone else get creeped out by Gene Simmons fingering Erin's ear? And then licking his finger??? Jeez! And then he stuck his hand back in her hair. He was treating her like a groupie.

I don't think this has been mentioned before - Tana has nice, big fake boobs. They're mesmerizing. -other-

That was hilarious! I'm no musician, but I think asking to play a professional's instrument is probably about equivalent to asking to sleep with his wife. And someone you've never seen before in your life is asking to play your drums? rotfl What a frigging doofus.
