Most sucked but Nadia Turner has a great stage prescence and voice.

Nadia really stood out tonight because she was one of the few who actually sounded good. I think it's obvious the talent is all over on the guys' side this year.

Best line of the night:

"When I die, I want to come back as your microphone" :lol:

Carrie Underwood

I like the looks of Lindsey but she had an average performance and I find Mikalah personality very irritating.

The bottom two should be:

Amanda Avilar - I said it in yesterday thread that anybody doing Michael Bolton should be kicked out of the competition.
Melinda Lira - she should be penalizing for singing a Celine Dion song plus did not even have the vocal range to pull it off.

I don't know, it sounded creepy to me.

I won't be satisfied with Mikalah simply being booted. The ground needs to open and swallow her, sniper fire, anvil drop...something spectacular. Part of me wanted her to stick around and be the John Stevens-style punching bag for this season, but I see once again that the judges are smitten with her obnoxious personality.

Performances of the night: Nadia and Carrie.

Nadia rocked! Mikalah is a little bit annoying to me, but I'm not quite sure what to think of her just yet. I like how Lindsey looked so nervous after she sang that she might puke on stage as opposed to some others who come off like "i'm hot and I know it".

I agree that Nadia and Carrie were the best. Mikalah could be good but she needs to sing more sultry type stuff - and lose the hideous dress.

Sarah and Celena should get the boot.

I think Mikalah wore a dress to firmly cover up a nasty(my opinion), big tattoo she has above the back of her behind(that I first noticed in the show when the judges told her she was going to be in the final 12 girls group).

Three performances stood out for my tonight:

Carrie (of course...my wife voted for her)
Nadia (of course)
And I also liked Jessica (blonde girl who sung the Phil Collins song)

Carrie was also the favorite in our home as well. Nadia would get our second place vote.

However, we felt that Lindsey did very well, despite the judges proclaiming she could do better. I really hope she makes it to next week so we can see her perform at her best.

I missed the first performance because my DirecTivo decided to change channels and start recording a full 5 minutes late. :(

Not too impressed with most of the performances. I thought the girl with the 'fro was probably best. Which one was she?

Teen Drescher is annoying but something about her voice/singing style is unique.

I was wondering if Aloha will get the Hawaii vote this year. I was also wondering if guys would oogle her on TV and say "Aloha Mr. Hand". Yes, I am 12 years old.

Mikalah has to go she is trying to hard to make everyone like her.

No one else thought Janay (can't remember her last name) was horrible? She was by far the worst in my opinion....and she had weird spastic movements...

Simon will probably get criticized for the 'I want to be your microphone" comment, but Aloha's song talked about wanting to bang on the floor, so it was just as racy for the "family hour". Not that I minded :D

My top 2:
Carrie - points to her for reviving a beautiful Tiffany song...hope her shy personality won't make people forget her
Nadia - didn't really like the song choice, but she did it well and got the crowd into it

Bottom 2:
Janay - she's one of the youngest, but it's hard to have sympathy when it sucked so bad
Mikaylah - i'm in the half that finds her abrasive personality annoying as hell...i want to like her but she's making it hard

Janay was without a doubt the worst of the lot. The horrid jittery singing was only eclipsed by the weird robotic hand motions. Melinda was a close second to last with every other note off key.

We all seem to agree on the best. Nadia and Carrie were very good. Vonzell Soloman hasn't been mentioned but I thought she was good too. Most of the rest were mediocre.

I agree that Mikalah has worn out her welcome. The bad thing is that the way the judges swoon over her (irritating) personality, she'll try even harder to "entertain" us. I believe before it is over she may very well be one of the most hated contestants ever.

I believe the worst of the guys were better than the best of the gals. What a change from last year!!

Very Good:
Carrie - has the best studio recording voice of the females, perhaps for the final 24, on-stage presence might be a problem for uptempo songs

Okay:
Nadia - sure, great stage presence, but vocally, she doesn't do it for me, you can only get by on attitude for so long.
Melinda - doesn't have the upper registers for that Celine song she tried to sing.
Aloha - didn't like the tone of her voice, and was probably a little to sexed-up in presentation.
Vonzell - eh, middle of the road.

Average:
Celena - started singing too low, but she's got chops, too timid
Mikalah - a train-wreck at times, she's got a cruise ship singer quality about her. The Nanny will be her nickname.
Lindsey - the huskiness of her voice got a little scratchy, probably doesn't have much range, but nice to stare at.

Not too good:
Amanda - not too good, shrill, thin
Sarah - mid-octave voice, won't last long.
Janay - too nervous, horrible song choice
Jessica - I don't get the love for her voice, found her boring

I wish all of these chicks would stop with blowing air kisses.

only Bo and Nadia would sell anything to me...however, i will admit that Mario was very good at what he does...Im just not into what he does

My votes would go for Carrie who did great with Tiffany's "Could've Been", Jessica with Phil Collin's "Against All Odds" and Aloha doing an impressive Beyonce with "Work it Out."

Nadia and Aloha both had very good command of the stage. But vocally, Carrie and Jessica outsang the rest of the girls last night.

Mikalah has to get rid of her accent when she sings. Her speaking voice is annoying enough. Needs to learn from the British on how to get rid of an accent.

Forget the guys. They were bores.

Mikhala kind of reminds what Barbra Streisand must of been like as a teenager. She's got that Brooklyn attitude. Sort of annoying but interesting to watch at the same time

Carrie is cute & nice eye candy..oh and she can sing pretty good too! :tu:


Simon's microphone comment was pretty! Can't believe Seacrest needed an explanation.

WORD. I thought she was incredibly boring, although perhaps it was the song choice. I don't get all the hype over her.
