Just finished watching last weeks episode (worked late last monday). and daaaaamn was it good. Behrooz needs to go all ninja on his dad and knock the gun away. :|

Patman 02-21-05 08:28 PM

It's pretty good so far. Too bad my ReplayTV channel guide gave away some spoilers for tonight's episode. Doh!

Audrey: "I'm only minutes away and he knows that"

How the hell does her ex KNOW that she's only minutes away? she could be calling from anywhere! they didn't show her saying where she was. ridiculous!!

Tony's BAAAAACK!!

Tony's BAAAAACK!!

Because EVERYTHING is only minutes away in the 24 world -wink-

Why doesn't Tony have a bullet-proof vest like everyone else has? (Other than the fact that he's Tony f'in Almeda! )

Third Baseman 02-21-05 08:55 PM

kantonburg 02-21-05 09:03 PM

Well so much for the heart pounding moment that they pumped up from last week. Jack just punched him in the face. :lame:

Other than that the episode was

Midway through the show I was thinking, "gee, Sarah really took that 'wrongfully tortured' thing well." Glad to see that she's getting something out of it.

I knew Audrey's husband wasn't out of the storyline.

a thumb print is a thumb print no matter what, right? Why couldn't they just cut off the dead guy's thumb and keep that beeyotch locked up?

I liked how Edgar wasn't doing his job at the beginning because he was distracted by his poor mommy's impending death. Be strong!!!

Patman 02-21-05 09:05 PM

An okay episode, mostly transitional:

Spoiler:

An end to Navi.

Behrooz no longer on the looze.

Sarah gets back to work, a promotion, and a payraise.

Drisoll totally gets walked over by everyone.

Tony gets his CTU badge back again.

Marianne gets a few rounds in the chest.

Curtis gets a bonk on the head.

Audrey gets faux-busy with Paul.

Paul gets bonked on head by Jack.

LorenzoL 02-21-05 09:07 PM

Pretty good episode.

Edgar scene with Driscoll at the beginning was unintentionally funny.

Trelach24 02-21-05 09:10 PM

The whole Paul thing is moronic. If he's involved in any way, there's no chance he shows up at CTU on his own in the first place.

I'm really good at suspending disbelief but this is the first episode of 24 ever that I've just questioned watching it.

dave-o 02-21-05 09:14 PM

This show is the most unbelievable show ever!!!

*Everyone knows that cell phones won't work in a basement.

Third Baseman 02-21-05 09:15 PM

I agree.

Yeah, I'm thinking Audrey is a lock for being the real baddy at this point.

ctyankee 02-21-05 09:27 PM

Pretty bad episode.

Heat sensing in the basement ... please. Hospital plan comes up on computer screen, no problem. Audio effect as the schematic turns ... ugh. Corporation names come up on the computer screen .. audio effect as they appear ... ugh back to that old stuff?

The only audio effect they missed was not playing the Mission Impossible music when Jack gets lowered by the cable.

Who watching didn't think that pulling that cable back up would make some noise.

Weak.

Patman 02-21-05 09:33 PM

I also thought the Jack-as-Ethan Hunt move was a little cheesy.

Which cell phone provider has the walkie-talkie cell phones? Verizon? Maybe that's how the calls were made. (I know, just suck it up and accept it).

lucasorion 02-21-05 09:50 PM

How about only having two (apparently not very good) guys escorting and guarding Curtis when he goes to get the computer which may have all the information they need on it?

I believe some thumb print scanners also sense heat. I saw a story a few weeks ago about a grocery store chain using thumb prints in the checkout process and they said that the sensors also detected heat to prevent fraud.
