I only caught up with Robot Chicken in reruns, so it didn't realize until coming here that it was a new ep. Good stuff as always.

I was able to get a screengrab, and it certainly looks that way. How'd they get this on the air?

Warning: Action figure wiener inside.

(Mods, if this crosses the like, feel free to edit. Not sure about this  )

Started watching this on youtube, it is absolutely hilarious and I watched all the episodes in a day... ordered the first season too... classic stuff

theedge 10-07-06 01:21 PM

Robot Chicken Rules! :) And the new season just started a few weeks ago...missed the first 2 episodes...if they are on youtube...cool! :)

riley_dude 10-07-06 02:17 PM

There was a Star Trek one a few weeks ago that was hillarious.

dstrauss 10-07-06 06:47 PM

The Emperor Palpatine skit may be one of the funniest things I've ever seen. "What the hell is an aluminum falcon?" The show does have some dumb skits but what the hell, it's over in like 10 minutes.

riley_dude 10-18-06 12:34 AM

Anyone see the recent episode about X-men vs. Police Academy??

Lurker1999 06-18-07 02:31 AM

Robot Chicken Star Wars spoof

Did anyone else see this on Cartoon Network? I only caught the later half of it but I thought it was hysterical, especially Jar Jar heckling Darth Vader, I mean Anakin.

Boondock Saint 06-18-07 04:27 AM

Yeah, thought it was hilarious.

Fielding Mellish 06-18-07 08:50 AM

Okay… I’ll be the dissenting opinion.

Other than the Emperor In His Office bit (which was a retread), it flat out sucked.

It reeked of Endorsed By Lucasfilm®. Overly reverential, with pulled parodic punches aplenty. (Say that three times fast.)

In all, a huge missed opportunity.

CPA-ESQ. 06-18-07 08:57 AM

I missed this - Was this a special? Please tell me it is just one episode and not a bunch of little episodes.

Are they going to re-air it?

dvduser6 06-18-07 09:24 AM

I only caught a few minutes last night and thought it was okay. I'd like to see the whole thing to make a proper review. The brief Luke and Leia bit near the end had me rolling, though :).

The whole episode is on Starwars.com:

I thought it was alright, but not liking the second season as much as the first, my expectations weren't too high.

Strafe 06-18-07 10:32 AM

Am I confused, isn't this like a year or two old? This is the 'What the *bleep* is an aluminum falcon!?' thing right?

Dr. DVD 06-18-07 10:46 AM

According to the credits, George Lucas, Mark Hamill, and Ahmed Best all participated in making this one. I guess that makes it an official endorsement. Loved the Ponda Baba bit. You never truly knew what he was saying. Poor guy. :( ;)

They reused that scene, but the rest of the episode was new.

bunkaroo 06-18-07 01:06 PM

Yep the cantina/Ponda Boba scene was great. The Jar Jar one was hilarious too. The learning how to act like you're being choked wasn't bad either.

I found it to be like most RC episodes - uneven.

No, the Luke/Vader 'That's Impossible!' spoof was old, as well as Jedi Bush.

neiname 06-18-07 02:30 PM

Decent, could have been better

slappy 06-18-07 02:37 PM

I saw that Hulk Hogan was credited for some voice work... I must have missed his contribution though... which skit was it in?

boogieman03 06-18-07 02:37 PM

Damn, I laughed my ass off.

cmatherne 06-18-07 02:40 PM

Hogan was the voice of Abraham Lincoln (Err...George Washington if you go by what 'W' says)

Morf 06-18-07 04:22 PM

Hey, I laughed. A lot.

Ponda Boba, hilarious. Dancing Lobot. The AT-AT driver on the crapper.

CPA-ESQ. 06-18-07 04:38 PM

I watched it online Thanks kajs

It was funny - some parts were recycled, I like the cantena skit as well as the Conan late night show.

nodeerforamonth 06-18-07 04:39 PM

I thought it was funny. Certainly funnier than most SW spoofs.
