I enjoyed all the references, but barely cracked a smile throughout the entire 11 minutes. The article goes waaay too far in it's review, but I'd have to agree with a lot of it.

You would think this guy is a Pullitzer prize winner, or a serious critic. Instead he writes dribble for toonzone.com. Please let him take his boat and leave, hopefully there is no net access on his island.


I liked this show and can not wait for more. I too wish they would stop all the repeats, although this Sunday looks worse with 2 Family Guy repeats around Robot Chicken. They need to bring back some season 1 Space Ghost, work on some new Home Movies, Mission Hill, Venture Brothers (I have recently started to enjoy this one) Harvey Birdman, along with the others they are working on, ATHF, SL2021, Squidbillies, etc, and stop all the repeats so often.

When Is this on? I saw some ads for it but always miss the time it is on. Id like to check it out. And :down: For Tom Goes to the Mayor. I am a recent convert to Adult Swim though, I am thinking about picking up some ATHF sets tonight.

I replay'd it and i was pretty happy with it. It is a show that you can turn off the brain and watch toys do dumb things.... where else can you see that?

On that note, re: the article .... there are very few things that annoy me more than "ha ha, I'm smarter than you because you like x and I don't" attitudes.

It was played again last night at 12:00 followed by an ATHF epp. at 12:15. I don't know how I fell about it, it went so fast that I think I need to see it again to decide.

I thought this show was funny as hell, and i hope they come out with episodes fast enough to speed up the DVD release ;)

Caught an episode today, and I laughed quite a few times. Especially when they showed Capt. Kirk get his nuts slammed in the door.

Hit and miss, yes. But it is only 15 min long, so it is good for a quick laugh.

Damn Elian Gonzales gets shot in the Head by Castro! Plus the Walt Disney Bot.
The Chicken is setting up roost sun nights on Adult Swim and it is the one show that I will make sure my son doesn't see until he is old enough to comrehend the warped violent sense of humor on display here. (While the show could be a little sharper on the writing end, something about watching these action figures go for broke is highly appealing)

Caught it again last night, the idea still seems a lot funnier than the execution. :p

The You Got Served segment was funny for about 5 seconds, especially since it was done to perfection by Butters :lol:

I liked the You Got Served segment and the Nature show with the Mongoose: Natures Assasin. And The Jackyl: Natures Asshole. But the Walt Disney thing went too long.

While I agree the Walt Disney thing went too long, the Ode to the Nut Shot was one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time.

Not as good as the last episode. You-Got-Served/Voltron and Walt Disney went on way too long. I like the short 60-second random stuff.

The short stuff like the bloopers last week and the nut shot week was all pretty funny. Voltron was decent but dragged on and I didn't find the Disney part funny at all.

I agree, not as good as the first episode, and neither has been as good as I had hoped. Kinda disappointing to me, really.

I agree that this wasn't as strong as the first and that some of them skits went on too long.

What was the deal w/ the short one where there was a yellow monster at at what looked like a birthday party and all the kids crying? I didn't catch that one.

Guess I'm the only one who liked the second episode better. I wasn't so sure about the Voltron one, but it became funnier the longer it went. The mongoose was the funniest bit in either episode, and nut shots never get old.

Anyone notice the Gonk from Dawn of the Dead used as the end theme?

It was a yellow dinosaur. There was a guys head face in it's neck. I think it was suppose to be like Barney.

Yeah. While I thought the Voltron and Walt Disney skits are funny in idea, they just ran for way too long. The show, as seen by last week's episode, runs better when it's a bunch of short skits done scattershot. It gives the show a more frantic pace, which was lacking from last night's episode.

However, "Ode to a Nut Shot" has to be one of the most brilliant things I have ever seen on television. It's right up there with America's Funniest Home Videos' "26 Tablefalls in 30 Seconds."
