There are 12 episodes to each season, this was #19 so there are 5 left airing 2/27; 3/6; 3/13; 3/20; and the finale 3/27. Deadwood will air at 10/9 following Carnivale starting March 6th. I kind of wish they would wait till the end of this to start Deadwood, to give me longer to enjoy HBO originals before everything is on hiatis.

i agree that it was about time Ben found Hack, not to quick and almost too long, having Ben searching every week and getting put into another strange situation would start getting really old. now hes found Hack and we can go on with the rest of the story.

i dont know who exactly left the show and who is new to the production team but i think this season by far is better than season one with a much better pace. season one was good but season two is turning out to be special and magical. i thought i was jaded to creepiness in my old age but this show has shown me its still reachable.

Well, we know that the current "avatars" are Ben for good and Justin/Alexi for evil. We know that the last generation of "avatars" was Ben's dad and Alexi's dad, but we don't know for sure which was good and which for evil.

So who is the tatooed man shown in dreams? Did he really rape Appolonia? And why did Justin get the same tattoo? Do all the evil avatar's get the tattoos? Does management have that tattoo?

OK, I think I figured some shit out.

Last generation: Henry Scudder = the Dark Avatar, and Belyakov (Management) = the Light Avatar.

Current generation: Scudder's son Ben = the Light Avatar, and Belyakov's son Alexi (Justin) = the Dark Avatar

You have to kill the previous generation's avatar to become the "full-on" (for lack of a better word) avatar. Ben just killed Belyakov (Management), so he is now the "full-on" Light Avatar. His blood is probably now blue (assuming both Light and Dark get blue blood).

Justin is trying to find Scudder so he can kill him and become the "full-on" Dark Avatar. His blood will then be blue.

What I can't figure out is who the "usher" is in all this. He has a tree tattoo and raped Sophie's mom, but is he a character we've already been introduced to or not? What is the purpose of an usher?

The fact that Justin got the same tattoo the usher had indicates that the usher has something to do with the "dark" side of things. I don't think Scudder ever got that tattoo, partly due to the fact that he wanted nothign to do with the whole Light vs Dark battle and denounced it. So was there an usher that died something between the time and Scudder and the time of Justin? Is Justin the new usher? Can you be the usher and the Dark Avatar at the same time?

Whooooooa! I finally say the ep tonight and damn was it great. I yelled out a loud "Fucking ********er!" (must be due to all the Deadwood promos and season 1 set Im about to watch) when the show ended at only 45 mins!

Man, the showdown in the motel room was fantastic. I got goosebumps on that shit. Than the trailer showdown with Scudder and management, my mouth was on the floor the whole time. Not to mention the Libby scenes... :D

I STILL think Management was the evil one. When he bled blue, thats what the usher bled in Justins dream, for Ben to kill him freely, he must have believed he was evil, while Scudder was good. Plus if Scudder was bad, wouldnt he want to rid of the good? Im also guessing Sophie is Bens sister... ewww I hope shes didnt get pregnant with Bens child!

It seems like Scudder has lost all of his powers.

I thought the Usher was the dark avatar.

Management bleeding blue has me thinking he maybe the evil avatar, along with Scudder saving Ben and telling him that is not our way.

WHY THE HELL did Scudder do that to himself?

BTW...Dont you hate it when a character in a movie/show is in a mind numbingly confusing situation, and finds a person that have been looking for for years, and they DONT grab them by the lapels and scream WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON? WHO AM I, WHO ARE YOU? WHO IS THE USHER? WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? WHO IS MANAGMENT? WHAT THE FUCK!?

Scudder did that so no one would recognize him, and since Ben is one of only 2-4 people on earth that could heal him to reveal his true identity, I would say it worked pretty good.

So what the hell happend to Kerrigan? And the Templar? And why is Scudder's family so fucked up?

What we've seen of Scudder doesn't quite fit with what we've heard about him.

Yea why did Scudder's mom kill most of the living Scudders?

Because she gave birtch to a freakin demon child and it drove her crazy.

Apparently, she was unable to stab avatars. Recall, she was unable to stab Ben after he broke the mask.

I think the usher/tatooed guy was lotz ... the new usher is either the child of the original one (sophie) or the snake lady, cuz she has tatoos too

Actually, Carnivale is moving to 10 p.m. starting March 6th, to follow Deadwood, which will be airing at 9 p.m. Carnivale's ratings have been down quite a bit this season, so this move may be to see if its ratings improve with another show in front of it. Carnivale hasn't yet been renewed for a third season.
