Huge Lost rumors about upcoming episodes

I'm begging you, PLEASE DO NOT read any further if you don’t want to know some of the (potential) upcoming surprises on Lost, because this may ruin the show for you (since I think many of these rumors might prove to be true)…

And if you do read this, don't complain that doing so has ruined the show for you.

My dad and I regularly check out different message boards and fan sites to see what some of the speculation is, and came across some interesting rumors. Here are the latest rumors from those sites - some of which has been sent in from spies on the set or people who have seen clips from upcoming episodes. Up to now, many of the people who posted this info. have been pretty much accurate on earlier rumors that they've posted. Of course, this is the Internet, so anything goes. In addition, the show's writers have been known to change plotlines at the last minute as they went along (see below about Boone):

Spoiler:
Sun surprises the survivors with a stunning revelation - speculation is that they will find out that she speaks English – since Jin is accused of burning down their raft on an upcoming episode – I'm guessing that she yells at the survivors to stop torturing her husband.

The writers are considering the idea of revealing that one of the characters is gay/bi-sexual, thereby setting up another possible conflict on the island – early speculation is that it is Jin or Boone.

Back home, Hurley hit the lottery, which only leads to pain and tragedy for him and his family (of which the plane crash is obviously another episode of “bad luck.” The number 815 always seems to appear (flight number, Kate’s safety deposit box number, model number of copier Charlie was trying to sell (?!), etc.) – how much do you want to bet that this was the winning lottery number? Or that the date was 8/15?

One of the 14 regulars will dies by season end – a male, but it’s not Charlie. The person is well-loved and appears in many episodes, and his death is supposed to be quite emotional. The death is the result of a catastrophic accident and someone’s lie about what really happened. Early speculation is that it is Hurley. However, many think it will be Boone – the original storyline had him with a mental condition and slowly going crazy from not having his medication – this idea was eventually rejected once the series got going, leading many to believe that his character was marked to die instead.

Claire will definitely give birth before the season ends (perhaps in the same episode as the character dying, since parallels will be drawn to the “circle of life”). As of now, the baby will be a boy.

One of the episodes (season finale, perhaps?) will flashback to the very beginning of the doomed trip as the passengers are boarding the plane. It is believed that this episode will be shown from Vincent’s perspective – if you recall, Vincent is the dog. By doing so, you get to see what happened inside the cargo hold during the flight. Also, the actor who played the pilot (who was killed by the monster) has been asked to appear in the season finale.

A behind-the-scenes photo of Hurley crossing a rope bridge just before it breaks (again, could he be the one who dies?):

One mystery solved – we now know what the hatch was (sort of):

Also, another plane has apparently crashed on the island (where Boone finds some drugs onboard):

If the show goes on for a second season (as is believed), something major will have to happen to the boy (Walt is his name, I think?), since his natural growth as a boy into a teenager would be difficult to explain on a show that happens over the course of a few months. This is always a problem on TV shows that feature children, and one that is especially tough on this show because of its established timeframe.

That’s it for now!

Ooo, Ooo... I'm first...

... but I'm not quite sure what to say. ;)

Edit to add (with no spoilers): Okay, I read it... I'm a sucker for rumors. But everything just seems to be a natural progression of things that we will all eventually learn, or that through the hundreds of post about this show, things we've already figured out.

But I would go through your original post and remove the links, or uncheck the "automatically parse links in text" box so that we don't the little clues that file names have."

Thanks though.

I'm not going to read it. I'm not going to read it. I'm not going to read it. I'm not going to read it. I may read it. Dammit, I need to get out of this thread.

Everything I read seems to make sense, and goes along with other things that I have read, as well as some of my own guesses.

Spoiler:
The spoiler about the person who dies comes from Kristin's column at Eonline.

http://www.eonline.com/Gossip/Kristi...5/050214c.html

--------------------------------------------------
From boyee: I read your column about someone dying on Lost, and I nearly had a heart attack. Pleeease, I beg of you: Tell me it's not Dominic Monaghan.

It's not. But I can tell you that this person is well-loved, well-featured and, well, doomed. It is one of the 14 series regulars--one of the biggest characters--and the episode is guaranteed to make you bawl your ever-lovin' eyes out.
--------------------------------------------------

She later goes on to say that the "doomed" character was a male.

The "biggest" would seem to imply that it's Hurley who's going to buy the farm.
