One of the best Scrubs ever.

Why are some people saying things like "they better/I hope they stick to their normal format"? Surely they aren't thinking of actually turning it sitcomy.

When most shows do a gimmick episode or something like that, they almost always fall flat. That's not the case with Scrubs though. They take the gimmick, and turn it into something pretty original, though the writing and presentation.

Two thumbs up from me.

Abso-freaking-lutely loved it. From opening segment to closing credits. Even the sitcom segment worked--or didn't--or, well that was the point. Didn't have a problem with Clay since he wasn't there long enough anyway.

Wow. I'm surpised so many of you liked it. You guys are ate up with this show. ;)

I had to re-watch the intro last night, and Turk singing was an Emmy-worthy moment, imo.

the funny thing was that I wasn't aware of this episode, until Tuesday's night's commercials for the show. Earlier that day I was saying to a colleague of mine that I loved Scrubs cause the absence of a laugh track (hahaha, how ironic). I by the way, thought the sequence fell on it's face and just wasn't funny - I guess that was the point (how bloody clever).

right, that was exactly the point. way over-the-top, when that isn't what scrubs is. and JD's closing monologue basically said just as much.

I'm catching up on this show and wanted to find out what people said about this part and this was all I got? ;)

I looked up Charles James and James Charles on IMDb and neither of those names produced a hit associated with Cheers. There were two brothers (Glen and Les) with the last name Charles who produced Cheers, but they are not dead according to their IMDb profiles.

Oh, and the actor playing James Charles was just an actor and was not in any way related to Cheers.

Maybe it's because I stopped before the credits... Was this episode dedicated to somebody? I missed it if so.
