Slipstream on Sci-fi

I didn't see a thread for this show. If there is a thread, please point me to it and feel free to close this one.

Did anybody see it? It stars that hobbit from LOTR "Shawn Ashton". I thought it was kinda annoying but I liked the premise. I wonder if they're making more or if that one show is it.

Anyone have any info?

I caught some of the last 1/2 hour or hour of it. I too like the premise but thought the execution of it was lacking.

I believe it was a one-shot movie. You could hop on over to imdb.com an look it up to see if there is any indication that a series is planned. If it was they would have to have the Sean Aston character, or the chick he was confiding in who was part of a secret government agency, be part of the secret government agency that had developed the time-traveling device. It was sort of a poor mans version of the TVseries Seven Days only instead of a globe shaped time craft taking you back 7 days, it was a hand-held device that only took you 10 minutes back (on the average).

they specifically said the idea was that as long as you are in physical contact with the device and anyone else who is also in physical contact with that person (ie a chain) would be transported back in time.

the main character was trying to get extra money by taking the money from the teller, transporting back, and getting money again from the same teller. if physical contact is the only thing necessry to be transported back, then what's to say the person's socks, shoes, the floor and hence the entire building, and by extension, everyone in the building, and on and on, would all be transported back (in essence everything goes back in time, not just the person with the device!) ..

they didn't quite explain that fully.

I tivoed the next showing. Is it good enough to watch or should I just delete it?

well, I thought it was interesting enough to watch. watch it if you have some time to kill, you won't miss much if you pass it up.
