That's not the same joke at all though. To say so would be a stretch. One is a measure of "success," while the other is just a number count. I see your point about it being a poor joke, but your example doesn't make sense

Wow, that was terrible. I was thinking of trying "Arrested Developers" tonight but after watching this, I think I'll pass.

poor tina fey can't handle the election results. she does realize clinton had approval ratings at a percentage teachers would call F too doesn't she?
the thing is, it's possible for them to make fun of bush in a way that's actually funny and will even make republicans laugh, yet tina has so much hate she can't realize that

ROTFLMAO.

That whole bit was one of the funniest things I've seen all season, which I guess isn't saying too much......
I had to rewind that part at least half a dozen times, I was laughing so hard. "I'm gonna put roller skates on your hands, wheel you into the kitchen, and put whipped cream on your business!" wasn't bad either.

Somewhat off topic, but I'm stilling reeling from the "Merv the Perv" sketch from last week.

"The only thing that is going to get expelled is about a half-ounce of 'Merv juice'"

What was the other Clarkson skit?

She was the singing blind girl on the subway skit, and Chubb Hotty's girlfriend Olestra (which was clever since its a fat substitute!) near the end.

"That is disgusting! Did you have shrimp?!"

I liked the Bill Curtis skit. Everytime I go past that channel he's narrating some grisly crime.

Only other skits I liked were the Love Songs CD and the dating ad.

Enough with the fat rap stars and flamboyant gay skits. Really tired stuff there.

The black history month sketches were a continuation of when Tracy Morgan did them. I thought Tracy's were better, but I'm a fan of his.

"The first black guy to stand up in a movie theater and yell at the screen."

I agree. I don't care if they make fun of public figures like Bush and others that they disagree with but at least make the jokes clever.

The absurdity of the Connery sketch was kinda funny, not the idea for the show but the way that Connery handled it:

"Shay, this isn't that show where you throw monkey poop on your guests, is it?"

"Then why is there a monkey over there?"

He gets pissed when the monkey throws poop on him, then laughs at himself as it was all in good fun: "Ohhh, you got me!! You got me good!! (Connery laugh)
