Does The West Wing suck so bad now it doesn't get its own threads anymore?

I was at a Wilco concert, so I missed last night's episode of The West Wing. This morning I looked for a thread on it and couldn't find one. Hell, I even used the search function. Has everyone given up on the show? FWIW, a couple of co-workers said it was a good episode.

Didn't watch it yet, but the back-n-forth episodic style isn't doing the show any favors. The last several episodes were total yawners.

I haven't watched it yet either. However, I have to admit that watching these new episodes, while better than last season, often just makes me sad. That's probably the reason I'm slow to watch new eps.

It wasn't bad. Lord John Marbury was back, so that's nice. I believe next week's episode focuses on the campaign trail, so Joss/Donna will be front and center.

Bandoman 02-10-05 03:39 PM

It was okay. Better than most of the crap that's on TV now, but nowhere near this show's former glory.

Kal-El 02-10-05 03:51 PM

I wouldn't say it sucks outright, it's just not as interesting to talk about as before.

MrX 02-10-05 04:20 PM

I'm in the "hasn't watched it yet" group, probably tonight after my class.

Yes

It would be interesting to have seen Bartlett lose the election and then they could have brought in another President and an entirely new cast. I bet the ratings would have stayed strong then.

This episode blew my mind.

Not because it was particularly good or particularly bad -- it was typical post-Sorkin West Wing -- but because they had Christopher Lloyd guest starring as real-life law professor Laurence Lessig. So in this world of made up Presidents, staffers, Cabinet Secretaries, Congressmen, Senators, Judges, reporters, news commentators, ambassafors, and all the rest, they used the name of a real professor. Huh?

once again, das is wise.

me, i just watch it whenever i get around to it. it used to be that i would cut myself off from the world when this came on. no phone calls, nothing. now, it just really isn't too high up on my "to watch" list.

mikehunt 02-10-05 08:04 PM

last night's wasn't bad. at least it was at the WH

lisadoris 02-11-05 06:53 AM

I just got around to watching it yesterday and it was a decent episode. Since it's going up against Alias it just takes a couple days for me to get around to watching it.

Red Dog 02-11-05 08:35 AM

Watched it - okay. Loved Miss World. I'm still not thrilled about the alternating arcs - pick one and stick with it.

MrX 02-11-05 06:13 PM

meh.

I liked Leo's reaction to seeing Marbury again.

NORML54601 02-11-05 06:48 PM

Decent episode. You'd think after 6 years Abby would know her place. The Miss World stuff was funny and I really dug Christopher Lloyd's role, but then again, I'm kind of a history nerd.

tavarua88 02-11-05 08:43 PM

i liked how CJ knew exactly who to dump Miss World to. I didnt like the whole Prime Minister's reaction. Felt very forced just for the plotline.
