So it looks like a couple new guys (grownups) start as recurring characters on March 3rd.
Spoiler:
Billy Campbell (Once & Again/Rocketeer) and Johnny Messner (Anacondas)
I've always wondered about this show; seems as good a time as any to give it a sample...

 I was thinking the same thing.

You know, they could turn the next episode (ok 100 episodes) into an Alex/Marissa 1-hr makeout session and I wouldn't mind one bit. In fact, I'd pre-order season 2 for it.

MFRONE 02-11-05 04:05 PM

The whole Alex/Marissa thing seems too forced. As hot as the kiss is, I can stand the whole story line.

El Scorcho 02-11-05 04:47 PM

You're probably *that guy* who insists his porn movies have a decent storyline too, huh?

;)

I agree with MFRONE. I don't understand how anyone could be attracted to Marissa, she's a total self-indulgent drunkard bitch. She is also not very physically appealing. Alex is much too good for her.

MrX 02-11-05 06:21 PM

What hit the wall harder, Kim Delaney or this show?

Right now it just seems like they don't have any clue what direction they want to take anything. The stories with the kids are pretty much in the same place they were before Christmas.

I agree with this guy

I just found this site but wanted to add that i too think the last five minutes wasnt anything great.... everyone could see it coming. Now it would have been GREAT had Ryan and Seth have seen the girls making out on the beach since they were walking on the pier but they didnt. oh well.

I hate calebs holier then thou attitude towards ryan! ugh!

Kennyx 02-11-05 09:01 PM

I kind of got the impression that when Ryan declined the valentine dinner (after he beat Caleb in the pool match), than he might of earned some respect from Caleb (perhaps a future friendship between the two later in the season?)

gnradd21 02-11-05 10:40 PM

Seth can be irritating but he looked kinda cute with the borderline crazy, 15-minutes-of-sleep look. His whole sales pitch was pretty funny. I get the feeling that "The Ironist" and "Little Miss Vixen" will continue to get together and then break up until whenever The OC is cancelled. I'm not really complaining, though...they're still fun to watch. I guess it would be pretty boring if they just got together and that was it.

The death scene with Rebecca's dad seemed kind of awkward to me. I wouldn't have known what to do if I returned from the snack bar to find my friend slumped over dead. Should I just sit down calmly and check their pulse, panic and call 911 (pointless I know, but still), scream, what? Sandy's reaction made it seem like he came across corpses everyday or something.

Finally got a chance to see this episode. Sandy is in seriously trouble with his hottie wife, the dumbass. Seriously, Kim Delaney has gone downhill so fast it is almost unbelievable that she is the same hot chick from Philly a couple of short seasons ago.

I wonder how long until Seth and Summer are reunited.

Patman 02-13-05 12:45 PM

It just looks like Delaney has packed on about 15-20 pounds from her Philly days, that is all.

Arthas76 02-13-05 05:00 PM

the whole sandy thing seems very forced and out of character for him...disappointing as it seems the writers are just fishing for any drama.

seth and summer's chemistry still makes the show worth watching...plus the HLA angle :)

I agree, totally out of character. But I guess old girlfriends can do that to a guy especially when there is no closer.
