Twenty Four (24): Day 4 [2:00 - 3:00] -- 2/7/2005
24, Season 4, Episode 8, FOX, 8:00 PM CST.
Why is Tony on the loose, and weren't the 24 promos the best commercials during the Super Bowl?

Well, I officially have the first 7 hours on the TiVo, and my stepson is off from school today. Guess I'll drag his *** off the xbox and we'll have a mini-marathon before we fall 1/3 of the day behind.
We would have watched them sooner, but we're always "RUNNING OUT OF TIME!!!!!!!!"

I can finally watch 24 in high def.....
The Super Bowl finally forced Time Warner Cable here in Cincinnati to offer the high def feed through their cable service. Looks like the channel is there to stay as of late last night after the game. For all in this area, channel 919 is Fox 19's high def channel. Time Warner cable received so many complaints from subscribers who had just purchased high def televisions for the Super Bowl only to find out our cable service in this area did not offer Channel 19 in high def.
Here is the article from our local Channel 5 website.....
HDTV Customers Get Super Bowl Wish
Agreement Reached Friday

CINCINNATI -- In the world of football, the biggest game of the year is this Sunday and millions will be parked in front of their TVs watching the Super Bowl.
Many Tri-staters who own high-definition TVs are outraged that the game won't be broadcast in high-definition in the area. But, there is good news. An agreement was reached Friday between Time Warner Cable and Raycom. The HD feed they've been negotiating is already in place, but there are still some details fans need to know, News 5's Raegan Butler reported.
When WXIX won the right to broadcast the game, the station didn't have an HD feed with Time Warner Cable, which was disturbing news for Tri-staters like Dustin Smith, who spent $1,400 on a high-definition TV this Christmas.
"If you spent the money, you want to see things like that," Smith said.
Time Warner heard those complaints loud and clear.
Time Warner heard those complaints loud and clear. Officials said making their customers happy is a very big deal and they were concerned.
With the Super Bowl two days away and pressure building, Raycom Media, which owns WXIX, reached an agreement with Time Warner Friday.
Fans got an early start, celebrating.
"I think watching the Super Bowl is always neat, but with HDTV it's going to be even better,"
In order to watch the game in high definition, fans will need a high-definition TV and an HD digital converter. Time Warner can switch a regular digital converter to HD without an additional fee.

As to the mole arrest, I'm shocked, shocked I tell you, at the result. They didn't telegraph that at all.

Tony Zero
I think Tony's character is far more interesting now in his current state. He should get his own show! I can see it now: "He's a former federal agent who uses his knowledge of the system to help those who can't be helped. On his own terms." They could put it on Friday nights. Think Fox would buy it?

Best line of the night. Happy that the mole issue is finished though I feel sorry for the poor scapegoat girl. What are the odds we will see her haul off and punch the CTU head?

For a breather episode, it sure did pick up the pace in the final couple of segments.
Edgar finally got tired of Marianne's crap and did something about it. Too bad it looks like she got knocked out, and might not remember a thing. (See, the amnesiac storyline could come back)
Tony and Jack in the field, loving it.
Jack sure is trusting of a secret service ID. At least have a password before letting the SS take Audrey, for cripe's sake.
"Behrooz on the Loose" needs his own show.
They really worked over Sarah, didn't they? Doh!

Okay, so we have 2 potential spinoffs from this season. "Behrooz on the Loose" and "Tony Alemeida: Unemployed Agent". I like the sounds of both.
We can also do a Celebrity Mole: CTU Edition reality show.

Fun show tonight.
The PSA was hilarious. I really wish Keifer said, "Lest you believe this show is real, it is not. This show is fake and not a reality show. Please be advised".
At the end when the guy asked Tony, "who are you guys"... I wanted Tony to say, we're a team. Not just any team. The new A-team.

It felt like a decent filler episode til that last segment. Next week should be very interesting. And yes, Sarah's gonna be pissed.
The best line tonight was from Audrey of all people.
"I can have him killed."

awesome episode!! Only lame part was the cops in the hospital. Honestly, how could a woman who was shot run out of the hospital, get in the car, turn around and be out the driveway BEFORE they cops even get out of the door?? The Behrooz and his mom storyline is weak....they should have been killed an hour ago.

I missed the episode and my VCR programming didn't record it. Does anyone have the episode on tape? If you do I'll pay you to send it out to me. If you do (and I hope someone does) please e-mail me @ [email protected] we can work thing out. Please, please, please, please, someone help. I remember the days it used to repeat on FX, but it doesn't appear it does that anymore. I love 24 and am sooooo dissapointed I missed the episode.
