Anyone else as syked for the Shield Season 4 as me? I just saw the second trailer for the new season, it should be really good.

I'm dying for new episodes of any of the F/X originals.

I'm definitely excited for the new season. I was hoping to go back and rewatch the old seasons, but I'm running out of time (which I don't have anyway).

My excitement is tempered by the fact that it's still over a month away ! And when are we getting new Rescue Me ?

My guess is sometime during/near the end of Nip/Tuck (which premieres in August). There will probably be overlap this year like there was last year (so long as they remain on different nights).

I was watching the movie "Cellular", then watched the documentary bonus feature on that disk. It was talking about a corrupt group of LA cops in the late 90s in the Rampart section. Reminded me exactly of "The Shield", and I believe that's where the producer's ideas came from.

Yep, the show was even going to be called "Rampart" at one point.

I believe the producers got the idea for this show from the movie TRAINING DAY.

I'm not a huge fan of her work and ever since I hear she was going to be on the show I've been worried about the season. I really loved season 1 & 2 and I thought the third season was pretty good. I'm unsure about the start of this season but I'm hoping I can get back into it real quick.

i can't wait for it...unfortunately the cable in my dorm doesn't include FX...so i guess i'll have to have a friend from back home tape it for me

I believe both Training Day and "The Shield" were inspired by the Rampart case, rather than one being inspired by the other.

Oh my word this revolts me. I love the show but simply cannot stand her. I guess as long as the Strike Team goes head-to-head with her...

I love the shield, but Glenn Close give me the creeps! I have to pick up season 3 on dvd to catch up before it airs!
