So, no Alias this week?

There is a stupid State of the Union address interfering with my Alias watching tomorrow. Does anyone know what they are going to do since this was supposed to air every week without interruptions until sweeps?

Lenny

P.S. Can someone beat my low post per day count while being a member as long as I have? LOL -ptth-

i am pretty sure that they will just pick it up next week.

LB: They can just show 2 hrs of "Alias" from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm (probably will be done on a week where a re-run of "Lost" was previously scheduled) or from 9:00 pm to 11:00 pm (so the second hour replaces whatever ABC will be showing after they get done with "Wife Swap".) Don't worry they will makeup it up so Alias ends during the May sweeps.

All the State of Union, only thing I need to tape tomarrow is "Smallville".

LB...

If I'm not mistaken, then acknowledged that it would be an uninterrupted run with the exception of this and perhaps something else (maybe the Oscar's or Emmy's or some other big crappy awards show?)

Award shows are usually on Sundays.

But I think they knew going in that they would have to have a couple weeks off, and I believe they might have even said something about doubling up on episodes some weeks. This is also the real reason that "24" had the 4-hour premiere.

Good, maybe I'll get a chance to catch up. I have all of season 3 on DVD I have to watch first, then the season 4 I have recorded on my PVR. It never ends!

And I don't have a problem with it getting pre-empted for something legit. I'm just glad they aren't going to show re-runs just to stretch the season out longer.

I am glad I live in a country so cultured.

Ah so no Lost either. That's fucking great. Lets see if we can make an entire season last a year. Idiots. I love watching an episode and then having to wait 2 weeks to see another one, just in time to forget what the last episode was about.

invisiblegt 02-02-05 04:57 PM

No, Lost will still be on tonight. I can't recall if it's new or not, but it's on.

State of the Union airs at 9...

I wouldn't exactly call the State of the Union culture. It's more propoganda/spin. I mean is there anything really newswothy from it or just hot air and stuff you already knew about?

Verbal Gorilla 02-02-05 07:14 PM

Maybe Sydney's mom is actually still alive and is going to try to kill the president during the State of the Union!!

Even so with ABC running the show we wouldn't see that for another 3 weeks.

All I was commenting on was their use of the word 'stupid' to describe the event. You can loath the person in the office, but at least (if your an American) should respect the office.

Only thing that could come of this speech is more 'ammo' for Leno, Letterman, Miller, & Stewart.

Tell me... do you have trouble remembering where you live when you come home from work in the evening? -ohbfrank-
