That is the Barry Bonds of smilies.
|
They are finishing this series off in a most excellent fashion. And I think they are trying to bring their faithful viewers to tears at the end of every damn episode - or at least give them chills.
|
Put me in the last category.
I loved the way John and the Lieutenant were so nonchalant when Andy was leaving. The way things are going now, i'd much rather if they had cancelled it out of the blue. The whole "countdown" thing is making me angry and sad. Sad, because it's ending. Angry, because it's ending. The endless ads of Bochco's new show are pissing me off too. Man, this sucks. |
I am enjoying the ending. Much better than an abrubt cacellation. Bring some closure to characters, and or new chapters into their lives.

As Andy and John were interviewing the old secretary at the beginning of the show, I turned to my wife and said "in 52 minutes they'll reveal that she killed him." I was wrong - it only took them 50 minutes. :D
So is hte show going to end with Sipowicz getting his own command? The end of this episode was emotional. It's too bad Charlotte Ross won't come back for a cameo. |

I love when Junior blurted out 'She's Hot!' to the LT.

Tremendous ending and fantastic acting throughout. Hard to imagine this show gone.
|
The ending of last nights episode with Andy walking down the stairs in his uniform almost made me tear up! Call me a baby if you will, but even though it was a happy thing it still seemed very sad.
I'm sure I will cry when it's finally over. I know. I know. Grow up right? I really do love this show. I've never missed an episode in its entire run. I can't believe there's only four more to go. Sorry to bring that up again. The only other TV shows that I've felt this sad over them ending were "Homicide-LOTS" and "Oz". Oh, and I guess "Hill Street Blues" as well. :( :( :( :( |
The ending was great, but the secretary just totally confessing the way she did was so unbelievably laughable.

Not one, but two old lady murderers. Or is it murderesses?
I also got kind of misty when Sipowicz came down the stairs and got a mass salute. A little too cute though, because he hasn't exactly been the nicest guy in the 15th. He's had quite a few run-ins with every uniform in the place. Will we ever see Gordon Clapp again in anything? |
Thought the ending was class television. Loved how John was sneaking down the stairs to see Andy's reaction. Wonder where the lieutenant was (still on the phone?)
Is Medavoy going to stay a cop or sell real estate? Will we ever find out? |

Anyone feel that, especially during this final season, it's the EXACT SAME FORMULA for each and every show?
* Murder happens. * They find suspect. * They interrogate suspect using some false story/reason. * 30 seconds later, they tell suspect "He was murdered." * Suspect responds "What, you think I did it?" * They intimidate suspect. * Suspect surrenders and confesses. (The last 3 bullets occur within 30 seconds) |

(The last 3 bullets occur within 30 seconds) That's pretty much the formula for the entire run of the series. That is why I didn't watch the series from somewhere around S4 through S8. I got tired of it - needed a break. Came back at the start of S9. |
I never got tired of the formula, I got too attached to the characters to really care about that.
