Good stuff regarding the inter-office politics.
Say it with me: LESBIAN! Odo (Paul) finally makes the opening credits (a spot freed up upon Lake Bell's ouster). Loved it when Denny called Paul on brining in Shirley to shore up an alliance against him. Brad's insecurity with dealing with a lesbian client, and his insatiable curiousity get the best of him, though he wins his case. Denny's closing argument, using his own predicament, won his case for him, a case that Shirley pushed Alan as second chair to keep an eye on Denny. But the case was just an excuse for DAK to rail on the FDA. Mrs. Piper continues to dole out the hurtful truth. :D |
Not one of the better episodes so far, but entertaining still. The whole room saying "Lesbian" for Alan was pretty funny stuff, along with Denny in the bathroom at any time, and Mrs. Piper sucking up to Schmidt. Seems that they keep trying to get Monica Potter way more screentime than she needs in my opinion. She cant carry a scene like the other main characters can.

"Objection!"
"Oh be quiet" I really like the addition of Bergen. Her scenes with Spader and Shatner are great. |
what's my name?

Good episode. No little murderer, and that's good. Denny having a case...that's awesome.

Great episode. I starting to like the addition of Betty White to the office politics. It was nice to see Mark Valley finally get more than 2 lines. |

I also enjoyed the episode. Good stuff.
Did anyone recognize the hot girl who played the lesbian who Brad was representing. I think she was in an episode of Smallville. The "Obsession" I think it was called. The WB just played the re-run on this past Wednesday night. Not a big deal but that girl is smokin. |

Not a big deal but that girl is smokin. That's who that was. I knew she looked familiar. And yes, I agree that she is smokin'. |
"Looks like you're the one who forgot how to piss"

The blonde hottie is Sarah Carter. Loved her and Missy Peregrym on that show.

After having seen Sarah Carter in her underwear, I'd say she is absolutely one of the most beautiful actresses out there. She deserves more than crap roles in crap movies like Final Destination 2 and Wishmaster 3.
Also, is Betty White basically just a female senior citizen version of Alan Shore with the way she holds nothing back? And now that Lake Bell's gone, and Rebecca DeMornay, Gina Girshon and brown-haired white guy dude didn't make the cut from The Practice to Boston Legal, Shatner's all that's left after they pretty much jettisoned The Practice regulars at the end to set up the Alan Shore spinoff. |
FYI, Sarah Carter's back this week and next week on Smallville. :)

uhh "Lock and load." rotfl rotfl

This show does have the some of the best throwaway lines (on par with Arrested Development).
|
It's not hard to see why Betty White took the role she did.

Brad's insecurities w/ saying the "L" word were hilarious - then Shore just had to bring out the best in everybody - twice. I actually enjoyed DEK's rant of the week against the FDA. And Shatner showed once again why he kicks so much ass - and w/ a little bit of drama towards the end, too. Did anyone doubt that Bergen wouldn't be a great addition to the cast? I don't think so. |
Does it seem like Mark Valley was cast against type for this role? The character of Brad acted so meek and awkward around the lesbian this eppy and Lori a few weeks ago when he brought up the idea of dating.
I'm really surprised he tried to insist the girl hang around for the celebratory dinner. For some reason, I picture him throwing back her in her face the comments she made about whether the court/media is attacking her sexuality or her integrity. He looks like a ladies' man and had a swagger about him in the ads I've remember seeing for Keen Eddie. Now he seems repressed and mousy the way Lori and Tara berated him for making a fool of himself. |
