Early review of "Numb3rs"

pretty solid review in USAToday on Friday. Plus, it's a return to TV for Sabrina LLoyd (SportsNight, Ed, etc...)

I've already got it on my tivo list. It looks interesting enough to check out.

Groucho 01-21-05 08:52 AM

I've been waiting on the reviews/word of mouth, looks like I'll be checking this out.

It'll be fun to see Rob Morrow back on television.

That's why I'm interested. Too bad Janine Turner isn't involved. :(

Goldberg74 01-21-05 08:54 AM

Wow that audio-visual-sidekick-geek from "10 Things I Hate About You" has thinned down a bit.

Have you seen her lately? She was doing a commericial for some drug, and she has really hit the wall.

I've seen that commercial, and I must say - I'd still hit.

movieking 01-21-05 08:55 AM

Didn't realize Sabrina Lloyd was on it. I might give it a chance.

From previews, it looks awful, but so did Medium, and I am enjoying that so far.

Geofferson 01-21-05 08:59 AM

Sounds promising. I'll check it out.

Red Dog 01-21-05 09:06 AM

I'm surprised CBS didn't put 'CSI:' in front of it. ;)

Yeah, CSI: Pi has a nice ring to it :)

Yeah, that dry eyes stuff. She looks awful...like a china doll or something. She's obviously had much work done...too bad, i had a big crush on her when Northern Exposure was on.

He was never really fat... he just finally hit puberty, grew taller, and did something with his terrible hairdo. He has a role in Serenity later this year...

movieking 01-21-05 12:30 PM

What dude is it from 10 Things? I am drawing a blank here...

tanman 01-21-05 01:01 PM

It looks interesting. But for some reason I can never really get into anything on Sundays.

The guy on the right... Michael Eckman (David Krumholtz is the actor).

... and also the guy on the right... as Charlie Eppes, professor of mathematics at a Southern California technical university.

interesting premise. I think this should be a 2 hour movie. I can't imagine them stretching the whole I can solve crimes with numbers in interesting ways for a season let alone 3.

I think the show's regular slot is on Fridays. They're trying to get some of the viewers from the football game for the premiere. That seems weird to me since the show probably won't start on time and lose a lot of non-football viewers.

I'd be really surprised if you weren't right. Even in small doses, episodes and films that take this approach are typically intellectually laughable. Doing an entire series on this premise without being silly and yet still entertaining? I'd love to see it, but I'm not holding out much hope. Still, I'll watch every episode until it's canned.

He was also the crazy dude that stabs carter on ER....and my favorite: Singing "Luck Be A Lady" in his tighty whities in the underrated Slums of Beverly Hills.

lucasorion 01-23-05 12:29 AM

also played Neil's older brother (who got to make out with Linda Cardellini) in Freaks and Geeks

Static Cling 01-23-05 02:25 AM

I knew David Krumholtz from Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle. :) And Sabrina Lloyd in what looks to be a more serious role would be interesting to watch.

Okay, I'm just hot for Sabrina Lloyd, but seriously, I haven't seen her play a totally serious role yet, so I'm interested. :)

Edit: And with brown hair, too. Still hot!

According to the official site: Terry Lake (Lloyd) is Don's beautiful and focused FBI partner. Terry starts to see Don in a new light, but hides her growing attraction to her partner.

I'm betting on a first kiss around episode... hmm... my gut says 9, but I'll go with 12.

RMSpuhler 01-23-05 02:35 AM

Did someone say Sabrina Lloyd?

I'm there.
