Big suprise with Clive Owen winning, but I am thrilled that he did. I loved the movie, and he and Natalie Portman stole it from Julia Roberts and Jude Law.

Best Supporting Actress goes to Natalie Portman for Closer. Great to see Closer getting some love!

For anyone watching this in HD, does it almost seem as if there is some sort of soft focus filter type of effect going on? People just don't look tack sharp to me.
Could be only my signal but eveything else I've watched today, (football etc.) looked crystal clear as usual.

It would not surprise me if this was a deliberate tactic to help hide flaws in actor's faces.

Just realized that Eva was the only housewive not nominated. Poor Eva :(

She recently blamed it on her not being at some Golden Globes dinner because she was tending to an ill family member and the other women went and got nominated. :lol: (not at the ill family member)

Shatner looks in hard shape. When he was walking up, his face was beet red, and during his speech, the sweat was pouring off of him.

He probably is...he deserved the win.

He looked a little drunk... Apparently a lot of the guys there were breaking away from the red carpet to go to the bar and watch the Pats game.

Well, she was interviewing PA and the intercom had said something like everyone to the ballroom - and PA was like "I gotta get in there" all hostile like. LL then asked her some question about having the powers she does on the show and she is saying all bitchy not quoting as I don't remember the exact quote, but "I'm worried that I have to get in there".

Damn, it's not like you are nominated or even that important (and the comedy series category is not the first or even second award to be given out.

I don't see a black eye on Diane Lane....
