The West Wing 01/05/05
Loved tonight's episode. I was hoping that we would get more of the Bartlett/Josh farewell...but the end speech made up for it.
Noticed that Bradley Whitford (Josh) wrote the episode which was a nice surprise. Overall this season just continues to get better and better. I don't care what anyone says about 'the writers falling back on old stories' or any of that crap. The fact of the matter is that this is still one of the most engaging shows on TV. Teri Polo...hell yes. And I find myself really rooting for Santos. Don't know what is in that envelope that we see in the previews, but I hope he stays in it and fights everyone else off. Never really liked Smits before seeing him on WW, but he has a energy and realness that many actors don't possess. Ransom |
The CJ story seemed rather pointless, but the other stuff was pretty good.
I would have liked to have seen Will's face when he found out what Josh is doing:lol: |
yeah, we should have seen more of the Josh/Jed farewell, given their close relationship in the past with

I almost wish they would kill the WH storylines and get away from Bartlett, Toby, and CJ. I'm looking foward to the campaigns: Josh vs Will with Donna in the middle.

Nice episode. I'm sure they'll keep Santos in the running against Venick. I wonder who has the deal for next season? Smits or Alda? Either way, it will be good television.
I also like the way they're handling Bartlett's condition. Very touching, and sad. |

I would have no doubt it is Smits if they are really planning to continue the series. Frankly, I think they should run a half-season next year culminating in the election and end the series at that point. The series has rebounded, somewhat, this year. End it while it is still somewhat good. |

Doesn't he already know? He asked Will how Donna was doing. |

I think they both have options for next year, its just a question of what way they want to go with it. If they want a total housecleaning they'll go with Alda, if they want to keep a few guys around, they'll go with Smits. |

I know I'm about a month late, but is there any chance that anyone out there has a copy of this episode they could dub for me? I'd gladly pay the cost of materials, shipping, etc. - whatever anyone thinks is fair (or even slightly unfair)!
Thanks! |
