Wilmer Valderrama is my generation's Scott Baio. He's a terrible actor and not that good looking; but he gets the hottest women in Hollywood.
But the man can dance, dance, dance.

You (and anybody else who doesn't watch Arrested Development) should be banned from "TV Talk."

[raises hand]I don't watch it regularly, but I have seen it a few times and I respect the show immensely.[/runs and hides in corner]

Exactly. Upgrade it to That 80's Show regardless of the bomb that the original was and try to tweak the show a little. There would be a lot to work with - especially with Hyde and Donna both in the music biz.

Why drag the current structure around for another "more of the same" season? Shake it up, and they might get lucky. It would be a great opportunity for a "reboot". ;)

They should make a show where Fez goes back to his home country and tries to Americanize everyone. Of course you still wouldn't know what country his is in. That show outta last at least 1/2 a season.

 In regards to AD, I think they are in a sweet spot to get renewed. It may not get the best ratings, but has a fervent following, good critical praise, and currently what else do they have other than 24? I'm betting they cling to it like crazy.

Re: that 70's Show. I agree, it should probably end. I haven't watched it in a couple of years(first run anyway). But to my recollection doesn't 90% of the show take place at the Foreman house? What would happen to Red and Kitty?

You HAVE missed much. Hyde has been living in their basement for several seasons now. Still, you are correct. With Eric and Laurie gone, there would be very little for the Foremans to do in terms of interacting with the kids. I hope they don't bring in A THIRD Laurie or some ridiculous character like "Jenny Piccalo". Ugh!

What about Oliver Foreman?! Kelso always wanted a fat kid.

Never cared for the show and dont understand why people watch this instead of say, Arrested Development, but I think when the main stars start leaving it's time to call it a day. Look what happen to shows like X-files and Melrose Place (just two examples.)

Lack of success hasn't kept many actors from quitting a successful tv series :p I didn't say I was shocked, just a little surprised that the only ones quitting the show are Kutcher and Grace. I'm sure they mulled over cancelling the show without those two. If this was Happy Days there goes Richie and the Fonze. If Chachi leaves now, they've got nothing!

Nobody watches this instead of Arrested Development. :whofart:
That's like saying I don't know why you would watch Melrose Place instead of Flying Blind. For one thing they are on the same network. :p

riley_dude ... You got SERVED!

I will keep watching it. My two favorite characters are Kelso and Mila Kunis. As long as they stay on the show, I will keep watching.

I don't know if That 70's Show can become That 80's Show. What would happen? Would Kelso make a million dollars and move out of the basement and into a mansion. Maybe hire Eric's parents as his butler and maid? Mila would fit into that roll well, but it would lose its charm.

without Topher, this show just won't work. They definitely should just call it quits.

I love this show enough that if it continues on without Topher, I will give it a chance. Not sure how it will do without him, but it's a pretty strong ensemble cast, IMO, so they might be able to pull it off.

YEP.

The chemistry between Eric and Red Foreman made the show enjoyable for me. W/O that...there's no point in watching.

Heh, you place Scientology bias on the same level as bias against Jews and African Americans?

I agree. I just recently converted to Negroism.

I sensed your Negrosity from afar.

Bias is bias. Besides, there's nothing so inherently horrible in Scientology that doesn't have equivalent horrific content in any fundamentalist religion you can name. Except for maybe Neil. NEIL GOD!

And L. Ron Hubbard may have blown as a writer... but have you read any rendition of the Bible pre-King James? *snore* I think we need a David Mamet rewrite for the new Millennium. Or Tom Stoppard.

The Antipodean 01-07-05 04:22 PM

How the hell did this thread start to include L. Ron Hubbard and Negroism????

This is only my opinion, but I caught Greg the Bunny on DVD and wasn't surprised at all it got cancelled. Just didn't think it was funny at all and the whole puppet thing got old for me after a while. Really thought I would like it too, but I can definitely see why that got cancelled. I'm behind you with The Tick and Keen Eddie though.

Its time for this show to end before it really starts going down hill.
