He's slightly too neurotic, and her voice is driving me nuts. Plot was somewhat predictable. I hate when all of the funny scenes were in the previews...
Overall, I'll give it another shot next week. |
this show lasts half a season tops I bet.
|
Jennifer Finnigan left Crossing Jordan for this crap!!!

It's on my TiVo right now... maybe I'll go watch it. |
I gave it a shot since I really was starting to like Jennifer Finnigan before she left Crossing Jordan. I really liked the first 15 mins. The last half was only so-so. The laugh track has got to go- it's one reason (of many) I don't watch sit-coms as a rule. The handyma-- er, I mean the dying clown's only line felt forced, as did the inserting of whatever top 40 hit that was playing when they kissed.
Anyway, as long as there's nothing on opposite it, I may watch again for Jennifer Finnigan. |
Is it just me, or did the song/kiss at the end of the episode seem to go on for-effin-ever? Had to last at least 20 seconds, and all for (seemingly) the clown to walk by?

The laugh track for this show was horrible.
I thought it was ok, but Jennifer Finnigan is so damn cute I'll probably give it a another look. |

I mean geeeeesh even on funny shows, it's not like every 5th word = huge laugh. oh but if you have the track, why not do that?!? sigh.. lame.. plus as others have said, she is soooo squeak voiced on this show. I guess it's sort of nit picky but throw in that + laugh track for **squeak squeak** [BLAHAHAAH!!!!] **squeak** [BAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA!!!] **squeak squeak squeak chirp** [BLAHAHAhAhAAHA!!!] = I never watch this show again.. |
I liked it. The show has promise, but then again I didn't see these previews of the show because I rarely watch NBC. I didn't think the chick's voice was too annoying, but with the Jessica Simpsons of the world, the bar for annoying female voices has been lowered quite a bit.
The guy overacts a bit. I can easily relate to the psychotic genius, but there's a bit too much animation in his hands. It needs to be there for that type of person, but not to where its over the top. The clown is an interesting idea, and one that if they get tired of him, he's easily removed. The pop music needs to go. Still, it's probably the best new sitcom this season (not that that says much). It's no Arrested Development, but for what it is, it's pretty good. |

they were there from daylight to darkness, didnt move the whole time. this show is funny and has plenty of potential. the guy has a ton of quirks. talking with his hands is apparently one of them. i cant wait to see more. plus it has what looks like alot of opportunities to use politically incorrect humor. i love that kind of funny. |
It's like Monk's love life by way of a bad American take on a BBC show. I really wanted the show to be better, I'll give it a chance, mostly because I know it'll get canceled and I won't get a chance to see it again.
And speaking of laugh tracks-- Mr. Bean has the worst. |
Absolutely horrible show.
And I totally agree about the laugh track. It sounded like people were bursting out loud laughing at stupid things. |
Okay is it bad that I know that the song is "Crazy For This Girl" and was performed by Evan and Jaron?
I thought the first half of the episode was the best part of that show, the second half dragged on. I was cracking up though with the "nanny", you go from a psycho on The L Word to taking three (3) year olds to cockfights. |
It was ok. But I fear that they are trying to push this "bizarre" angle to hard. It has to be natural.
|
I liked it so much that I watched it twice and found myself laughing even harder the second time.
The "clown in the closet" is great! When he offered her a hanky, I about died rotfl. Can't wait for Thursday. |
I laughed, mainly at the humor from the Afro-American characters on the show. The wheelchair got me rolling (no pun intended).
The main leads are neurotic as hell, almost too much so, but at least it's not too bland or vanilla yet. |
give it a chance!
how many shows nowadays have neurotic, quirky lead characters. Veronica's Closet and NewsRadio were the last ones. |
