The new show sucks, indeed it does.

I was optimistic with the buyout, but then I dropped directtv for awhile (moved, havent got it back up yet) and haven't really gotten to see much of the new TSS. I hear almost everyone is gone and that it just isn't the same. I can't wait to see it again, but am kinda hesitant. I guess I'll find out soon enough.

G4, a video game channel, bought TechTV and all it's holdings. A new channel was born: G4TechTV. Screensavers has been dying a slow death ever since.

Just a bump: last night's episode claims somebody from DVDTalk is supposed to be on the show tonight (12/07) talking about today's DVD releases.

I know last week they had some guy from a dvd review site. Can't recall his name. I'll have to tune in tonight to see who it is.

Last week was dvdreview.com, so I wasn't sure if it's the same guy and they misspoke? You would think there would be an announcement here somewhere if it was DVDTalk?

went to check out screensavers for a couple minutes but caught it as it was going to commercial and it said that kim morgan from dvdtalk was coming up.

Just saw the show, and they did say from dvdtalk.com.... so my question is who is that? Looks like the producers did not prepare her well enough for the segment.

Yeah, never heard of this person... and you'd think Geoff would have told us about 100 times to watch it :)

She's seems to mainly do reviews for theatrical releases (in fact, she has all five of them on the main review page).

I agree, the segment didn't have a lot of flow to it. Hopefully, that'll change for future visits.

I've been reading her for a while. She does more than just write here. She wrote for the DVD Journal (all DVD reviews), The Willamette Week, The Portland Oregonian and now, Reel.com (DVD and Theatrical reviews), Movie Poop Shoot.com and The LA Weekly. She's a professional film critic. I'd say that she is pretty qualified.

I just started taping the new show and fast fowarding through all the boring chit chat,everybody comes off as so unintrested in what there doing. Why bother even giving a phone number they only take one call a show. Also what is up with Chi-Lan she seems to be on every G4 show on the network, everytime I turn it on she is there yeesh enough already.

Well, where was the announcement? I would've watched if it weren't in "The new Screensavers sucks" thread. :p I guess I'll put it back in my recording list. I deleted it when they fired everybody thinking that they'd be in reruns for months.

It was a test run so we didn't want to toot our horn until we knew it was going to be a regular gig.... and it WILL BE!!

I wish you well, but I think this show, and the network, are doomed to cancellation sometime in the near future.
