Lipstick on Your Panties
With the pressure of the parents' lawsuit building, it's almost a relief for Huff to deal with a normal family crisis. But when his 14-year-old son Byrd sneaks off for a disturbing teenage party and is found out, Huff has trouble convincing his wife Beth that there's anything normal about it.

Great episode tonight. Huff and Beth's confronting of Byrd about the party was pretty funny. Wow did Russell party hard...I cringed when that plasma flatscreen shattered on the floor.

Just finished watching the rerun. I'm officially hooked! :up: I was just disappointed we didn't get to see the Indian sales girl in her skivees. She was a real cutie.

So far each episode has been better than the previous one, but I don't expect them to top this for a while. Padgett Brewster was great when she found out what a rainbow party was. :eek: She had me feeling ashamed of myself. :o

I hope we're enough to keep the show going from getting canceled.

Ehh, it's Showtime. What do they have to replace it with? They should consider themselves lucky to have a show with this cast. I think the only one I don't know from some other show or movie that I really liked is the kid, and he's been great! Every one of them has a resume as long as my arm.

Besides I don't think Showtime has any history of killing shows. The Chris Isaak Show seemingly has been on forever. I like Chris Isaak and watch every now and then but it's definitely not a hit and it's not going to be up for any awards. Showtime is getting on the right track with shows like Huff and Dead Like Me. I think either one would be a hit if they had the HBO hype machine.

Edit: Article on Zap2it Apparently the ratings were bad for the premiere, but Showtime already committed to a second season before it even aired :)

I just watched this episode last night.
I'm not 'hooked', but it is drawing me in. I didn't like Byrd at first, but his character is fleshing out. There's more to Izzy as well, but politics notwithstanding, I didn't get the reason for the exchange between her and the doctor.

I was kinda shocked like Beth as well, when Byrd came clean. If that really happens, I guess I'm too distanced from the 'kids' today.

Russell's definitely spiraling. It's one thing to be a wild man and party, but he must have a real inferiority complex or be very afraid of being alone [or both]. He's lucky he's only lost his TV so far.

Actually, Huff's already been renewed for a second season, according to zap2it. That's good news. I'm hooked on this show as well, and it easily justifies my Showtime subscription, now that Dead Like Me is through for the season.

Same here, because before this show came on, I was debating whether or not to cancel it.

Once Huff's run is over, Showtime's gone until Dead Like Me comes back. That happens to my HBO while the Sopranos, SFU and CYE are off the air.

But while the above-mentioned shows are on, those subscriptions are worth every penny.

We get a really good price on Sho, so it's not too bad to keep it, although we'll probably dump two of the four movie channels. We still get a good price, but SHO is the one I mainly watch, followed by HBO sometimes. HUff is getting interesting enough to keep up with.
