I hate this commercial
 

Heven't had one of these threads in a while, and there is a current ad that I just cannot stand. It's for the Citibank dividend card and it has this stupid CGI rabbit that gets pulled out of a hat, attacks the magician, and runs around the place. Ugh. Not only is it a stupid idea that is a stretch to relate to anything about the product, but the commercial seems to drag. on. Forever.

I have to wonder how this thing ever got the greenlight from the ad agency or the company. After seeing it a 100 times and hating it, I had to actually pay attention to figure out what it was advertising so I could post this. My mouth is usually just agape at the fake-looking rabbit running around the room for no apparent reason.

I think all commercials are stupid.

I haven't seen the commercial you mention (thank god for TiVo!), but it really does sound like they're scraping the bottom of the barrel now. It seems to me, based on the few commercials I have seen as of late, that the ad agencies are either getting lazy or just getting really dumb.

I hear ya. But I usually sleep with the TV on or have CNN on in the background during the day so that is the only time I ever see any commercials.

All my "active" viewing, the ads get zapped. Which is ironic, considering the advertisers are paying a lot more money for the prime-time network ads I don't see versus the cable ads I do end up seeing.

The worst is that one where the dude starts shouting "I LOVE THIS WOMAN" in that Italian piazza. That commercial fills me with rage.

I totally agee. I can't stand this commercial. In fact, I hate all of those commercials that say "if you really love her, you'll buy her a diamond"

Maybe they make me so mad because my wife totally buys into them and always thinks I should buy her diamonds. I know that's why she got so mad at me when I got her an Xbox for her birthday.

You need to see the Family Guy's version of the DeBeers ad, it is awesome and I always counter with it whenever my wife sees one of those other stupid diamond commercials.

The prize for ultimate lameness in a commercial goes to the Pepsi commercial with Adrian Brody trotting down the street like a friggin idiot.

Is that the onw where it shows the man and lady's shadow profiles, then the lasy's profile goes down and it says "Daimonds. Cuz she'll pretty much have to." That's a great one I remember. If it's not from FG, what was the FG one?

I never see commercials unless they're during sporting events, so the one that is currently driving me crazy is the stupid Miller LIte commercials with the refs. Those couldn't get more annoying.

Then you have not seen the one with the peopl eusing the bullhorn to talk to the Bud factory, worse Miller commercial yet.

My current least fav is the USA Today commercial--the one where the naked guy locks himself out of his hotel room and has to walk down to the lobby with a copy of USA Today wrapped around his waist, while bystanders read the sports scores off his ass. CNN plays this commercial LITERALLY every 5 minutes in the mornings. I've seen it as least 300 times. In fact, if I see it one more time, I may take my own life.

Does USA Today really want to encourage people to rub their newspaper all over their private parts?

All the insurance commercials annoy me. Geico, Aflac, Progressive, etc.

The worst thing about credit card ads. They insist on showing the card being swiped through the little card reader. They ALWAYS swipe the card upside down.
