If the Simpsons don't outlast Springer, then the terrorists win.

Jerry Springer may still be on, but is anyone still watching? The Simpsons may not be the powerhouse it once was, but it still gets respectable ratings.

What is this, apples and oranges? Comparing a syndicated talk show to a prime-time program over longevity doesn't make much sense. By that standard most soap operas have schooled "The Simpsons" long before. Comparing say, the prime-time "Law & Order" which I think is up to 14 seasons with "The Simpsons" at 16 or so makes much more sense.

I, too, was unaware Springer was still on the air.

They did in a Treehouse of Horror episode. Springer did a guest spot.
